I've never had any issues in Fayette County or Taylor County the several times I visited. Louisville is another story. I had really bad service in Louisville.

Hi
I am sorry if it's not the correct place to post this issue ...
I live in Lexington,KY , and I have a Samsung Google Nexus S I9020T (3G 900,1700,2100MHz), and T-Mobile 30$ plan (100min+5GB at 4G speeds)...Now the issue is that the data speed in my phone is truly garbage ... I KNOW my devices is NOT a 4G device and can theoratically handle uo to HSDPA 7.2 megs and HSUPA 5.1 megs MAX..... My speeds using the speedtest from ookla are around 500-1000kbps for DL and mostly not during the day (I get network problem) and my pings are 200+ most of the time ...
So from the poeple on T mobile especially in Lexington KY area ,
1.Is it my phone is crappy in signal and speeds ?
2.T mobile sucks in KY ?
3.My wife iPhone 4S on Straighttalk SIM (att compatabile...so this service is from att towers) can EASILY get 5 megs PLUS and pings 100 ms or LESS and during the rush hours 12 1 2 pm etc ...(iPhone 4S HSDPA 14 and HSUPA 5.6)
Please answer my question so I would know which to change : Network or Phone !!
Thanks

Feeling the HSPA+ Love in NYC on my Nexus 4!
Do you have any estamates about Data speeds when you were there ? "issues" or "no issues" doesn't say much ... A tiny youtube video needing 1-2 min to start playing definitly sucks !!!...
I am sure I am gonna dump that stupid network (or stupid phone) IDK ....
sounds like subscriber overload, and not enough cells to support everyone. Try disabling 3G

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network
At&t 4g coverage in Lexington is awesome. I'm there a few times a month on business coming from area of natural bridge state park traveling the mountain parkway 16 miles from Winchester,Ky I pick up 4g with a few bars and it just gets better the closer I get to Lexington.
The network in home town stinks so It's a treat to visit Lexington the times I do. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure how you guys are getting such good performance out of AT&T's network in Lexington. I have an iPhone 4S and get what I consider to be poor performance in Lexington, and most everywhere actually. I've had times where I've had 5 bars and "4G" and not been able to connect at all. When I run Ookla's speedtest.net app, I usually get ping times between 100 ms and 200 ms, download speeds of no more than 2 Mbps, and upload speeds no more than 1 Mbps. Once I ran it for 5 minutes with 5 signal bars, and never got a ping response. I realize the network load changes from second to second, but my results are generally poor. I also realize my device doesn't have an LTE radio, but I would expect better with HSPA+.
I've had my SIM card replaced, I went to Apple and they replaced the phone, and I called AT&T and made sure I had a "Data Plan for iPhone 4S", as they call it.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I might try? Would having my account re-provisioned help in any way?
Thanks for reading my rant.
Scott
Sorry about my post above being in the wrong place. I wasn't paying attention.
Well, different strokes.. I don't doubt you have data issues. I notice the same stuff with my AT&T line in Las Vegas. Data simple not loading anything at all. Slow downloads, etc.
