Transfer Phone Numbers/Contacts To iPhone 4S

My buddy has an older Samsung flip phone, non-internet, phone. He just got a 4S.

Old phone has a slot for mSD card. I've exported his phone book to the memory card.

How can I get the contacts to his 4S?

I've done this from a Blackberry device while using my Gmail account when I got my iPhone. But he don't have a BB. Its a dumbphone...

He does have a Yahoo e-mail account.

Any suggestions less going to a Verizon store??? Rather do it for him.

Take that contact list on the memory card and put it in a computer and import them into yahoo, google, hotmail, etc. Then go on the iPhone and setup your email and have it sync contacts and BOOM! Contacts on you iPhone.

Or import them into Outlook on a PC or your Address Book of Mac OS and sync with iTunes to the iPhone

1. You can use standalone apps such as copytrans contacts - a beta tool to transfer the contact entries to directly to the new 4S.

Read the following starting from its "Transfer iPhone contacts to a new device" section. This is where I first learned about copytrans contact.

2. You can use iTunes sync (check the Info tab with your iPhone connected) to sync your Windows Address book with your iPhone - need to place the contact entries strictly in your Windows Contacts folder in order for that to work.

3. Use Gmail, Yahoo or other email (via Exchange) to first import the contact entries to your email account ant then sync it to your iPhone contacts.
