Any App to turn off your 3g or 4g data?

Is there any app that can control and allow you to turn off and or then turn on your 3g or 4g data from your provider?

Turn off data from the Settings. You don't need an app.

I dont see where you can do this via the setting? I can turn off wifi but not data. Where do I find this exactly?

As for an app even if there is a way to do it via settings I would want an app or widget to leave on my homepage so I could just click on or off easily.

Depending the version of Android, it should be: Settings, Wireless & Networks, Mobile Networks, Data enabled. All you have to do is remove the check box from this. Also, make sure that data roaming also doesn't have the check box on it.
Fido (monthly plan - personal/data):Novatel Wireless MC950D or Nokia CS-18

Rogers (pay as you go - Canadian prepaid): "Fido" LG Nexus-4

Rogers (monthly BIS data plan): Blackberry Q10

Red Pocket Mobile (US prepaid): Sony-Ericsson c510 or Sony-Ericsson w300i

T-Mobile (US prepaid): unlocked Fido iPhone 3GS 32GB or "Fido" Samsung Nexus-S

I think its android 2.2, Im doing this for a few friends who have prepaid and they dont want to use data when outside their wifi unless they choose too turn it on for something and then turn it right back off when done. I would still prefer an app because I know they are not that tech savvy to know or remember how to do this every time. An app on their homepage would be so much easier.

Me, I use beautiful widgets, but I bought it a long time ago for the weather/clock. I haven't bothered with other toggle widgets since...

Quick settings, you hold your Search button and it comes up (after you've downloaded it, of course). Although I love digging through menus to find buried options too.

i recommend a free app such as Notification Toggle. its basically an app which puts customisable toggles (switch on/off data, aeroplane mode, wifi, etc) in the notification bar for easy access.
or there are lots of other free apps which just toggle data. search for data toggle in the market

EDIT: i see you've already found one

There is an app or widget called APN On/Off, and a few others like it. They work on the principle of turning the Access Point Network station and off. Note, this applies to GSM and HSPA technologies which use APNs.

you don't need an app to turn off 3g or 4g data if ever there is an app for that, it will just eat your battery
    Running Apps eats battery's life.
