If I will buy the TM galaxy S2 , would I get better speeds ?

Hi I am on T mobile already with Nexus S I9020T , HSDPA 7.2 DL ... getting 1-2 at max in my city..

Will I get better speeds if I use a galaxy s2 which has HSDPA up to 42mbps??? or it will stil get 1-2mbps like my Nexus S ?
