Why would they bring back an old device? Can't you offer us something new AND better than a 2 year old phone? Although I'd take it in a heartbeat compared to the Repp or Wildfire... But the Aviator is almost the same with 4G, so I'd go with that over the Mez.

I think because the Hero S had an unexpectedly short life. It'll be $50 though, a better choice over the current entry level phones offered (Wildfire, Ascend, etc.)

Why do companies continue to sell the iPhone 3GS? They are probably selling through extra inventory and because it's already paid for and a sunk cost they can offer it as a really low price and get people who couldn't afford a higher end phone into something that's still pretty good, especially compared to other phones in it's price range (see Ascend II, Wildfire, and Repp).

They already released Gingerbread for the Mezmerize, 2.3 is Gingerbread. With that said, I am curious as to why the website lists it as running 2.2.

Which website? The US Cellular website shows the Mesmerize with Android 2.3.

Earlier it showed 2.2 and said upgradable to 2.3. Now it says 2.3.

oh okay, they probably uploaded the original ad. I see the white SGSII on there as well...a little cheaper now than when I bought the black one.

I was told this very same information by technical support. Why would they bring back a 2 year old phone I asked.. The response was "it was a very popular phone" This conversation took place while U.S. cellular was up grading me to a Samsung Galaxy S2 after going through 5 Mesmerizes....Go figure!
