I just received an email confirming Republic is about to let a few more members in.

We’re writing you because you wanted to join republic wireless back at launch, but we weren’t able to complete your order. We promised you that we’d save you a spot in line when the time was right...and that’s soon!
If you haven't seen Jessica's blog post, check it out now. In about a week you’ll receive an invitation to our online reservation system. We’ve already allocated you a spot in the very next beta wave, but we’ll use this system to make sure you’re still interested in joining and to get an idea of what you want so we’re sure to be ready for you.
Once you’ve responded, we’ll send you a confirmation email. You can check online for the latest on when your beta wave can place orders and when you can expect to receive your phone.

Using absolutely no inside info, my guess is the LG Marquee.

It will almost have to be a present sprint phone, with Android of course, that isn't 4g, and that would be a substitution upgrade from the Op S. That doesn't leave much aside from the Marquee (or maybe the Transform Ultra), if I'm not mistaken.

I received the same email. I have an Evo 4G that isn't used anymore. I really wish they'd let me just use their apps on that. It's already running CM7, but I could flash it to anything.

t should be interesting to see what phones are available and what the prices will be. I have an AT&T Galaxy S2 I'm considering selling for money to compensate, so I'm hoping for a galaxy note or anything running Android 4.0... I know it probably won't happen though

yeah i got the email saying they are holding a spot for me but i cant see buying an optimus for that price. why do they have such a garbage phone especially with the phone using data or wifi for calling? you would think they would want something with more ram or better processor?!
