I wouldnt be surprised if sprint buys cricket before then and its just an announcement of the same product for both lines even though they will shortly be one and the same.
My HTC Moguls's speed test signal with Cricket EVDO Tests in 2007.
Cricket throttles their network and I only get 300k now

No it's not. Boost is super ghetto. Not as bad as platinumtel though.

True, but the fact that other prepaid carriers with better service that are launching them is going to hurt sales considerably. It's not going to be easy moving all the phones they purchased.

I'm willing to bet though that Cricket isnt paying a dime up front for them and its going to be a revenue sharing agreement.

Essentially how Apple makes their billions give them a free sample up front to get them hooked on the numbers then ask them to pay up every month for each user.

I do agree that Sprint should buy Cricket and put them out of their misery. I don't think they want Cricket's AWS spectrum. If they can swap it for some PCS spectrum, that would be sweet!

When you do come across someone with Virgin Mobile, ask them about how well their data works. The last time I was in the forum here there was practically blood on the floor about intermittent data that, when operating, was slow at best. If the iPhone gets a bad eye because of data issues on Virgin, Apple will pull that plug, fast.

Well Virgin just pushed release date to the 29th.. So Cricket windows just shrunk alot.. On top of that Virgin is offering the $30 plan for the iphone.. ALso works on major markets.

WARREN, N.J. – June 7, 2012 – Virgin Mobile USA announced today it will offer iPhone to its prepaid customers beginning Friday, June 29. Virgin Mobile will offer iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with its Beyond Talk unlimited data and messaging plans as low as $30[1] per-month on the Sprint® Nationwide Network[2]. iPhone will be available without a contract and with no fees for activation or roaming. New and existing customers can purchase iPhone at www.virginmobileusa.com, RadioShack, Best Buy and select local retailers.

I believe that Apple has own benchmark that needs to be met to have the iPHONE be on ones network and I think Virgin has accommodated those slots for it.. If Cricket can handle the iPHONE with their (own)weak network oh wait their "OWN" network can't handle it due to its 1700mhz.. I don't think Virgin would have any issues. Besides Cricket 90% of its network is Sprint.

I wonder if Cricket had to agree to give iPhones priority on its network? Heavy traffic tower? Slow down the androids and give preferred data speeds to the iPhones...

Most likely they have to establish a minimum consensus to be able to get the iPHONE might not be the greatest. I think of it as the System Minimum versus the Ideal setup on a PC Game.. I believe increasing to 2.5GB bandwith was their "MINIMUM" requirement.

Also in an en note.. Virgin release of the iphone will count towards the inventory of Sprints.. as per discussion on article. So I will assume this will also play a role with Cricket.

That giant sum will go down a bit if Virgin Mobile's iPhones take off. Sprint noted in a regulatory filing in Thursday that sales of Virgin Mobile iPhones will count towards Sprint's unit sales contract with Apple.

So Cricket apparently is going to release tiered data here pretty soon(already discussed), and here is a whammy there will be supposedly around $80?!?!? for a true UNLIMITED for Internet.. I'm like who the hell is going to pay for sub par connection. They really need to step up their game cause now you are just throwing anything and everything at the wound to stop the bleeding. As a company that supposedly innovate they are now counter-intuitive.

They are just getting free stocks and dumping. At whose expense those who lost their jobs and lack of service to the customer base just to fuel their ponzi scheme.
