Does anyone know if micro SIM cards are now available from Wind?

The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.

[QUOTE=robbie_brar13;14785739]Can any one confirm if this Nokia Lumia 900 LTE Penta band will work with Wind?[QUOTE]
It will not work on Wind, because the band 4 is used for LTE
I hope Wind doesn't break the trend of minimal bloatware on their phones...

Price is up on Wind's site...
$0 on WINDtab on $40 plan
$99 on WINDtab on $25 plan
$259 outright
I believe this is cheaper overall than buying it from Rogers.
Past: Panasonic TX310, Siemens S40, Siemens A56, Nokia 6620, Nokia E71, Nokia 5230, Nokia C7-00 Belle
Present: Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia 808 Pureview, LG Nexus 4
I tried buying it online from Wind, keep getting this error message at the last step in checkout

I am a CURRENT wind mobile PAYG customer with an existing phone and I want to switch phones to the 710.
I went to two Wind stores today:
Thorncliffe Park
1 Thorncliffe Park Drive
Toronto, ON M4H 1G9
and
909 Danforth Avenue
Toronto, ON M4J 1L8
Canada
They would NOT sell me the 710 for $259 unless I activated a new line OR play porting tricks. They could only offer to sell it to me for $399. At that price, I can buy from anywhere else for cheaper.
Well that is pretty damn sleazy of them. You should give Wind a call and see what they say. Hopefully it's just an oddity at the two stores you went to. It seems that it can be ordered online at $259.
Even when I bought my 710 from Robbers, the first store that I went to wouldn't sell me one because they said since it was new and they had limited stock, they were reserving the phones for new activations only. Then I went to another location and the dude sold me one with no questions asked. Maybe the stores you went to are dealers and they are more interested in getting commission from new activations.
Go on Craigslist, there may be dealers willing to sell the phone on its own if they have a lot of inventory.
I went back to the store on Danforth today, they again gave me the run around and would not sell it for $259. I called Wind 611 and had them talk to the store (dealer) with speakerphone and they told the employee to visit wind's website to prove the phone is indeed $259. I finally was able to buy the phone, total cost $292.67 out the door \o/
