Using a Rogers Nokia Lumia 900 on MTS?

One of my friends is wondering if she could use a Rogers Lumia 900 with MTS. She has gotten sick of the Blackberry/iPhone only selection at MTS and wanted this phone. It uses the right bands so I assume it should work. My main concern is how to unlock it. Neither of us has unlocked a phone, and she doesn't want to spend $500+ on a phone that she can't get unlocked and put onto her carrier.

I just put an LG and a Samsung on MTS with no issues.

Get an unlock code from a reputable dealer and good luck.

It will work if unlocked. Just buy an unlock code on eBay and search Google for how to unlock it.

I am envious. I would love to use the Lumia 900 Microsoft phone. I can't dump my android just yet, or can I ??? I would pay the extra and get one factory unlocked, I am not a believer of buying unlock codes and its a pain to figure out how to do it yourself.

It's dead easy to unlock a phone. MobileinCanada even has youtube videos to show you how

I can't comment for Nokia, but I know my BlackBerry was a piece of cake to unlock.

Do you know how to make an outgoing call on a cell phone?

The reason why I am asking is because unlocking a cell phone is just as easy as making a phone call in most cases now days.
