Nokia Lumia 710 MMS and Network Setup App

I'm creating this thread to bring all of the information together instead of having it on 3 separate threads that each get randomly updated.

I purchased a Nokia 710 a couple of weeks ago with the intentions of using it on ST's $45 plan. Since that time, Nokia has removed the Network Setup App so I am unable to edit the mms and APN information. My concern is if they don't add the application back to the marketplace, this phone loses a basic function that any other phone has. If you have any info on getting MMS to work or the app being available in the marketplace, please share!

The network setup app is on the marketplace. It won't configure mms automatically. My problem is I need to configure mms apn for redpocket on my unlocked lumia 710.

so get the settings from red pocket and make a custom entry. not hard to do.

I know. Seems it shouldn't be, but ain't happened yet. Tried a bunch of different settings, but no luck. Redpocket c/s tells me phone is not capable of mms. Is there a hardware issue?? Further adventures tmrw.

redpocket does not know what to tell you. i looked on their site and they tell you everything else but mms. that in itself would lead me to think its not possible. i think it would be either a software or a hardware limitation.

Hey Brother... Don't know if you got it to work yet. But I have the same phone with RP and just got mine working this weekend. It was easy too. All you have to do is download the app and follow the instructions on RP's web page. But if you are familiar with it, Proxy Server is 66.209.11.33 port 80 and MMSC: (they won't let me put the link here but it is cingular). Make sure to restart the phone after you finish though. Good luck man. Love my Lumina especially after the update from NOKIA. Nokia is looking at supporting their customers and fighting to come back on top and I have to admit the Lumina does great. I get calls when others have no service at all.

can't, unless you dev unlock the phone. I haven't had a Focus in a while so I don't know if thye have updated it, but you might check the Network Profiler app to see if it has been updated to support Straight Talk. Your phone has to be carrier unlocked though.
