iPad Flex plan

Hi,

I have a ipad 3rd gen and want to add the data plan to it. I also have a iphone with no plan at all. I do not need any Phone minutes on it.

Can I take my iPad micro-Sim and put it occasionnaly in my iPhone to use it as Data-Only device (like a smaller tablet...) ?

I don't want 2 plans! and the iPhone is already disconnected (currently using it only on Wifi).

From what I read, I need my Ipad IMEI to activate the Ipad Plan, but if I swap it to my wife iPad or my iPhone (like mentionned), is this OK too ?
