Edit: i think they charge here 7% and probaly taxes are included in total amount after fees and what not.

no dude is not just me if you do your math 7% is still not 20 bucks, it depends on the amount of the purchase if you buy a the LG Esteem with no discount which is 349 + 6% is 20.94 , and 7% is 24.43, now if you buy the Lg Optimus m+ 129 + 6% is 7.74, and 7% is 9.93, so no still no charge of 20 dollars with 7% lets try the blackberry which is 149 + 6% is 8.94 and 7% is 10.43, as you can see value changes as the amount to pay is higher. Not trying to be mean or anything just trying to point out before you say anything get your facts straight thats all. the Optimus M+ might not be cutting edge but performs better than the esteem in some aspects , if you play with both phones you notice the difference.

The argument wasn't about the taxes mainly seems ur desperate to earn some brownie points about something but ok Aslong as u feel the optimus is special to u good for u but my whole argument was what I thought was a proper price range for such a phone....

well actually metro subsides the phone prices by a lot check a phone of the connect with the same specs in any other company retail price with no contract, the price will be pretty high, but really I could care less if the phone optimus is not great, the problem is that you were saying is the same as going for the attain, which is not really that much different, both have the same ram, more Rom on the optimus M+, the attain all it has over the optimus is the 4G really and 200 mhz processor doesnt make a difference since the optimus has a more optimized software just like the connect has, anyways like i said i dont have the attain i have the connect and definitely wouldnt get the connect my next phone will always be high end and expect it thinner and lighter hopefully with a higher clocked processor, same ram, better display hope for SLCD2 HD, better cameras, sorry but the LG cameras are terrible, better build quality and samsung most likely or HTC we will see. anyhow see you all around, make your own choice .

o man after what I heard today of the next GS3 someday sheesh lol after last year they were having the GS2 with a Dual core Exynos processor aka the best dual core processor around, and now Exynos 4 Quad which is twice as fast as dual core and 20% less power consumption than dual core o.O, how is it possible? amazed, i want this one so bad but i dont expect it to be less than 600-700 bucks, which if you get a gs2 unlocked right now is like 500 bucks.

Yes the 15 bucks charge was because metro used to give us more back for MDF and then they decided to give us less but charge the customer more, that's why the customer has to pay 15 instead of 10. Not really a lot of people want a phone that is thin and light and this fits the bill, and this phone out of all the CDMA performs the best, so the price fits the phone since the wildfire S is 99 already, unless they do rebates which well it will happen at some point we might see different pricing.

Regardless of what you might think of this phone and metro Sniper is right when it comes to taxes. The phone with taxes added will come to $136.74. Also you failed to mention that someone buying this phone can activate or transfer it themselves for free so $136.74 is how much one will pay. Now if we go to the next expensive phone from Metro, $199. You are now paying $210.94. Go higher to the $249 or $299 phones you are now paying with tax $263.94 and $316.94 respectively.

Some people do not want to pay over $150 for a new phone no matter what provider they are with. Yeah this phone may not be up to specs with current 4g smartphones but ya know what?? It would have been a high end phone less than a couple years ago. For some people (especially those who do not want to pay $800 more a year for phone service for faster internet service on a phone) this fits the bill. Unlimited everything, decent internet service. You cant go wrong IMO. Great for first time smartphone users. I have used an android on Metro. It may not be blazing fast but I was able browse the web decently fast and play several games without a hitch and not one dropped call for the time I used it. This was all on a phone with a 600 mhz. processor. Not bad for $50 dollars a month.

But you are right N4 everyone is welcome to their opinion. For every one here that thinks this phone is CACA. There is someone who thinks its more than enough for their needs. Just because its not a high end smartphone does not mean its a bad phone. It does more than what most people (who don't play on their phone all day) probably need.

well if you buy in the stores only they charge you 15 bucks upgrade fee, on equipment upgrades, not on new activations, if you activate it yourself thats not the case, but you have to take care of everything with a recorded machine to do the phone upgrade over the phone and yes it wont cost you 15 bucks, it is a hassle sometimes because if you dont speak clearly it could cause problems.
