    Refill card and SIM expiation?

Do the cardboard refill cards with a service PIN scratch off expire after a certain amount time?

Does a new unused SIM expire?

I got both of these in anticipation of my old carrier/plan running out but I bought a bit early to take advantage of the free shipping. It just occurred to me that these things might have an expiration date on them but after searching around a bit I don't see anything. Will only be about two months and I haven't set anything up with straight talk for an account yet.

I waited about a month with mine I bet they are fine for at least 6 months to a year imagine how long they could sit waiting to be shipped out in their warehouses.

I would not take any chances with Straight Talk. Storing up service cards could be setting you up for a big disappointment down the road. PS it doesn't matter how long the cards sit in a warehouse, the PIN is not active until scanned and registered in their system.

Just my take, I would only go 30 days at a time and minimize any potential loss when they terminate service, which can be for any reason under the sun, at any time, with no advance notice or refund whatsoever.

In theory (or on paper), the cards are suppose to expire 365 days from when they were purchased. The countdown starts when the card is scanned and activated at Wal-mart or the time your order is processed at StraightTalk.com.

This, but I think I'd sooner buy a few scratch lottery tickets than count on it. To each their own I guess...

Unredeemed Straight Talk service cards expire one year from the date it was purchased. About the SIM card, it does not have an expiration date.

I am in no danger of problems by waiting a mere two months, good and thanks.
