Anyone hear about a special offer on this phone from HSN this weekend? I know they have offered Tracfones in the past with great prices.

I'm watching HSN right now and they are selling it for $99 with 1 year, 1500 minutes.
The one I got from Shopcelldeals has an AT&T sim. Not sure about hsn
trying to come up with better signature.......
I have not activated mine yet (not sure which line I should switch over) I was able to get my home wifi working on it. I really like the keyboard. Makes a good qwerty for a granny. Has the micro sd slot. Music player and email app. From what I understand the Bluetooth isn't Locked Down either. So far a nice little phone for 45. Has an mp3 player and a standard 3.5 headphone jack which is nice. The menu button is very sensitive and fast going from one function to another. The standard charger is nice to have as well. The charger that comes with it Is small so it easily fits on a strip for those of us that have more than one phone to charge.
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 is my drug of choice.

Primary: Galaxy Note II & iPhone 5 (AWS): 5 lines, 1x $15 4.5GB data, 3x $2.99 T-Zones (truly unlimited 4G data), myFaves, corp discount + $10/mo loyalty discount = $88/mo tax inclusive
Secondary: iPhone 3GS: Airvoice Wireless, Samsung Fascinate & HTC Trophy: Page Plus
My wifi is password protected but not hidden or anything fancy. It is the default setup from centurylink and I just setup the password. When logging into wifi with this phone With the menu button it is easy to pass up where to enter the password. There was also a screen that tells you to put in the name of a hidden network but I didn't need that.
When I tried to download opera mini it said I had to activate the phone to do it.
I am in the process of changing from a CDMA trac to this one so I don't know how long it will take to activate. My old trac is a va trac so I was able to txfer over a year of service time.
For what it is this little phone does seem nice. (doesn't compare to my smartphones ) but that is not what is for.
As for my wifi I set it up 4 yrs ago but the only thing I did was apply the password. I was able to get on my wifi without any problems. My wifi is only 3 Mbps but compared to the GPRS I am used to seeing with tracs. It was fast on their basic little browser.
Anyone checked the data rate and charges?
Is it 3G like the S425G?
Does it charge properly for MMS or does it charge too much like the S425G is doing now?
Anyone know what's the maximum microSD capacity that this Tracfone version can handle. Also, what other model Samsungs is the phone equivalent to size wise for shopping covers, etc. Thanks!
Cheers!
I know this is a newer phone.
Would anybody happen to know if this phone is hearing aid compatible?
Does it have a very loud volume ringer on it?
Does it have a loud volume on it to hear with?
Does it vibrate in all functions? Like for incoming calls, incoming text, etc?
Phone specs: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cel...90CSATFN-specs
Says 32 MB max for microSD card. Can someone please confirm who has the phone with a 32 MB microSD in it.
I'm confused about the Tracfone minute rate for web surfing 3G with this phone ....... can someone clarify that please.
Thanks!
My Sam S425G is now charging the correct MMS rate after one call to Exec Res/Corporate. Actually, it is charging less than the correct rate -- 1.0 connect + 0.3 data vs 1.0 connect + 0.5 data standard Trac charge.
I think it was a "new model" bug that might even be gone by now.
