You do loose unlimited calling but maybe with M2M and N&W some could get by with 450 minutes.
And yes, it's 90 for postpaid but considering you could buy a good used LTE device (I paid 175 for a 3 month old Bionic) and get 4GB of data along with any discounts (and there are many) you may qualify for, it's a no brainier to go post paid NO CONTRACT here.
Just my thoughts but only the credit impaired or uninformed would get this plan and walk out of Wal-Mart all proud they have Verizon service.
Verizon has the perception of being the best but if your coverage requirements are the same across other carriers, there are tons of better choices on prepaid.
I still have a house phone so when I am at home that is mainly what I talk on. I use the house phone because if you have read any reviews on the LG Extravert it says that my phone has horrible battery life.
I don't want to have to charge my phone every 12 hours. 450 minutes a month really wouldn't be a problem for me as I am not constantly on my cell phone.
Also, I am a college student and I have no credit or any debt. I also hate and would never sign a cell phone contract when there are so many good Prepaid feature phones/smartphones out there. Verizon $50 Unlimited plan is enough for me at this point.
No I read that, but you misuse the term. It doesn't work any better in capital letters either.
Going from unlimited minutes to 450 minutes is a lot more than a trade off. Anyone looking at an unlimited minutes plan is doing it for a reason and would not be able to 'trade off' to 450 minutes.
With Net 10 and Straight talk coming out with the Verizon android for 179.99---the Proclaim---and it being only 45.--50. a month with probably a 2gb cap on data, why would anyone go with this 80. month plan with 1 gb of data and the similar entry level android? Not that I am doing either one, just mentioning it. To see the phone use zip 58495 which is a Verizon only zipcode.
As much as I think this Verizon offer is nothing special at all, read this
"as StraightTalk reps have been quoted as stating that the Proclaim will feature a 4GB monthly data allotment"

If you believe that PM me, I have some good items I want to sell you cheap. Honest I do.
4Gig on StraightTalk through Verizon? Eh probably not. I doubt they'd allow 2Gig.
Plus unlike AT&T no simultaneous voice and data but for coverage probably a better choice for some depending on location.
We'll just have to see, when some one actually buys one and activates it here. Haven't even seen them available for purchase locally yet...
I highly doubt 4 gig as well and there are rumors of no roaming either (not that Verizon has to roam often, but still...)
Wirelessly posted (HTC Wildfire S: Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/6.5.26955/27.1597; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 Version/11.10)
it might only be available in markets with vzw only coverage and neighboring areas. Although you can order it for use in other areas.Originally Posted by Pabster
The higher data limits might be true, since VZW has offered unlimited data on prepaid in the past. IF this offer is available, then VZW is about to launch their prepaid 4G LTE Smartphone line-up.
It is no secret that they intend to place all of their subscribers on the new 4G network, and this might allow for VZW mvno's to begin offering competitive 3G data options. Maybe Page Plus will soon announce a great new 3G service option too.
CON-Tracts??? We don't need no stinking contracts!
i was hoping for the lg enlighten i want a droid with a physical QWERTY keyboard
I have never had a smartphone. my first cell phone was a LG Accolade that I got in March 2011. Then I got a LG Extravert 9 months later in Dec. 2011. I didnt know.
Hell I might get an Android GoPhone on their $50 monthy plan the next time I upgrade probably and the end of the year or early to late next year but I am content with the phone that I have right now
