You are right about that, Verizon seems to be taking a different approach to their Prepaid 4G/LTE offers.
They probably see more subscribers opting for 4G/LTE Data service through Mobile Broadband Devices & Tablets and choosing value priced service plans with Basic Phones. It is a new trend that might pick up steam in the coming months...

Well, they've slowly but steadily improved their prepaid offerings RELATIVE to their OWN past plans. I wish some of the older offerings , especially unlimited 3g data were still around but they are going where the market is. They can still beat just about any prepaid carrier with the exceptions of Page Plus and Next G with their Big Stick of Verizon coverage. And even then, they wield the premium Verizon brand name presence in more locations then their mvnos do, even Page Plus. Verizon is still overpriced relative to most other carriers but they are getting business now more then ever , unlike a couple of years ago, when their then weak smartphoneless lineup was getting smashed by their lesser coverage competition like the Att and Sprint mvnos.
LTE on phones will come to prepaid but not as soon as everyone wants. That's life.
I wish they never would've changed the prepaid smartphone plans.........
Here in the Boston area, Verizon is only offering the Samsung Illusion (3G CDMA) on the $80 prepaid plan. At least around here, it does not look like they're allowing prepaid users on LTE.
