Los Angeles Is MetroPCS still the best choice for cheaper/decent service ??

    Hello,

First of all this is NOT A FLAME WAR or by any means a rant/complaint, I've been a MetroPCS user for 4 years, I've had a couple of flashed phones and got the LG Optimus M when it came out, so far I've been happy with MetroPCS's service in SoCal, but now I'll have to pay for a second line (Girlfriends) and well I just want to make sure I'm not bypassing any other carrier that might be better for just a little extra $$.

My usage is probably 800mins a month, mostly during nights, I'm normally at the office/home were there is WiFi, texting is on the heavier side, so I might be able to accomodate myself on the different plans others have.

Please share your opinions (positive/negative) about going out of MetroPCS and either not coming back or returning and regretting leaving...

    Thanks!

Not really. Metro is better with cost and coverage. For 2 lines you can get the 50$ plan and pay 100 with unlimited everything

Would you guys think that still Metro 2 lines with the $5 off is better deal than getting the TMobile prepaid and having to fork out more $$ for their phones ??? I'm still undecided and money conscious ... BTW I do need to have the international txt and calls ....

Metro still gives what I think is unlimited service. Straight talk will shut you down after a few gigs of data.

You've not even mentioned the best part, the savings from Metro allowed you to finally buy your 5th solid gold car:

    Thinking about switching to Tmobile...

I currently have the LG Optimus M , which is not bad, I'm not a POWER user but I hate the fact that these phones come with such minimal internal memory and you have to be using ap2sd all the time !!!

The fact that metro might be bought is something to consider for me in case I want to make a jump before to Tmobile and leave the 1X data speeds once and for all ...

Any stories or suggestions on going to Tmobile ?

    even so...

Even with the latest PRL, i still get crapy 3G , and most if the time , there is no internet while on 3G it has to go back to 1X in order for the phone to have internet...that's why I'm thinking to switch to Tmobile...but still undecided cause of the $$$$
