Extend contract and upgrade phone, other than through Verizon?

A year or so ago, I upgraded my wife's phone extending the contract through a seller on ebay. I picked up a new Droid X for $10. Thought it was too good to be true at the time, but the deal worked out flawlessly.

It's time to upgrade my phone, or extend my contract, and I cant find that seller, or any other seller that has deals like that. Is there any option to do this, other than through Verizon?

Search eBay? If you remember the seller's name you can try a search. You can always check out Amazon.com, but keep in mind not all deals go this smoothly.

    OP,

Don't forget that you can continue service without renewing your contract. You could purchase a branded Verizon phone without extending your contract if you are willing to pay the non-contract price or purchase a used Verizon phone.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

That's the problem, I don't remember their name. I've searched through all my previous emails from when I was in contact with the seller, I've searched Google, ebay, and several different searches through here. I even found the thread saying to search first because all of these questions have been answered. Not once did I see where any one had used anything even remotely close to this.

I know, and contracts don't bother me. I've had Verizon since they came around, grandfathered in on unlimited data on 2 phones, so I'm less likely to go somewhere else. And I'm damn sure not paying full price for a phone.

Looking at the RAZR MAXX to step up to from a Droid X. I don't mind paying the $250 through Verizon, but I always look for better ways to do it.

Funny thing is I also use a Droid X and like the Moto Razr Maxx as possibly an uprade.

You could always check out radio shack , best buy or walmart for a better price on the phone. Some of the online sites like amazon or wirefly might not allow you to keep unlimited data.

You checked your ebay account where you can view all of your previous purchases, right?

    That did it..... http://www.ebay.com/sch/amazingcelld...&_trksid=p3686

    Unfortunately nothing above a DX2

You guys know of any good places for cheaper upgrades? I've looked at wirefly, and honestly I'd rather just keep it local and go the VW store if there won't be much savings. $250 for the MAXX on upgrade.

Respectfully debunked for Amazon. Two of my friends upgraded their VZW lines last week with Amazon Wireless and had no problems with keeping their GFed UL data - http://wireless.amazon.com/help/200793240 - but they talked to someone directly instead of just using the web site just to be on the safe side.

Go indirect! Wal mart has CHEAP phones and they are NEW. You still get the 1 year warranty with verizon and can even get insurance. People NEED TO KNOW their options. It ius ok to buy from a dealer. SHOP AROUND.
