I'm having the same problem with Whatsapp; I'm on an iPhone 4s running 5.1.1, locked to Bell

My girlfriend uses Whatsapp on her Bell Android; there is sometimes a couple minute delay for me to receive her messages, but rarely are there outright connectivity issues.

    WorldIRC,

I remember rudeboy has complained about the same on his iPhone but the culprit was his SIM card suddenly not working properly. Everything has been back to normal since replacement.

I guess this issue is limited to an iPhone 4 or 4S only. I tried on my skyrocket and so far no issues. Looks like a carrier update is causing this.

I tried using both the iphone4 and the 4S...both are unlocked on the bell Network, and they both can't connect. I read somewhere the other day that i may have to get an app if the iphone is unlocked or jailbroken....but it seems people with locked phones are having the same issues.

I don't think it cud be the SIM issue, as I just got a new one last month. The only reason i had to get a new one was becaus emy iphone from Bell got stolen/lost. So really it cud be that the new SIM is causing this issue...because come to think of it before my previous Iphone got stolen, the whatsapp worked flawlessly on Bell...

So anyways it doesn't seem like there is any solution for now unless u use it while on WIFI.
If there are any, can u guys kindly post it in here.

    Thanks

Send a trouble ticket to the WhatsApp customer service.
I did, and they replied saying it has something to do with Bell's internet access config. May be addressed in a future application update. The more users complain about the same issue, the better chance they'll address the issue.

Could be the default apn being used. Can someone visit unlockit.co.nz and change apn to PDA.bell.ca and update if that fixes it. Androids already use that apn with no issues.

I dont know if this a coincidence or not but since last night Whatsapp has been working so far.

What i did was just install the Bell app on my iphone which i didn't have on it since i was previously using it on the Roger network..

So, anyways so far its good..

what i found worked was this: Connect to whatsapp from wifi. Do not double click the button and close the app. Once out of wifi you can still connect on whatsapp thru your data. Not a permanent fix but nevertheless something that works 80% of the time.

My ebuddy pro does not work today on wifi. Seriously getting fed up with all these app issues!

Yeah this is true.......I just tried killing the app today after having it work for almost 3 days flawlessly, just to try and see if it will give me issues again. It does seem to take awhile. but eventually did connect..so I think somewhat the issue has been resolved. Previously it wud just not connect.
