You guys all make me feel old. Thankx. My first phone was a Motorola Startac. It had a phonebook capacity of 10 numbers and it wasn't able to send text messages..... that wasn't invented yet.

But as per CPR phone.... an SE K810i, C905 or even something as old as a SE T610i works just fine. I've always had better luck with SEs than brick nokias.

    It's all good (^_^)

Everyone's on their own for hypersims. I'm out har har har har har~~~~

Yeah! Happy to know that you finally have your phone work.
And so that's why I always suggest software unlocked models to all customers asking for 007SH.
I know 007SH is so impressive and so far there is no other model having Android + flip design......too bad ...

Good to hear you got the 007SH working. And don't despair yet! Hardly anyone of us using hypersimmed keitai carries a CPR phone around (I or my girlfriend certainly don't).

Now that you have signal, my recommendation is to go on a small leisurely trip round town/city, travelling the routes you most often walk/ride on to test your signal and your phone. I am quite sure that, unless you go into an area of zero signal and stay there for more than 3-4 minutes, you will not lose signal. Do this now (assuming it's the weekend and you've nothing important to do). Don't carry your CRP "tools" with you - trust your luck and the hypersim I recommended And see if it works

Bad news. Again the same problem but worse. The phone lost signal and couldn't recover it, so did CPR with the iPhone, but I couldn't regain signal. ... So I decided to try with the iNex hypersim this time, but same result. HOWEVER, I noticed something strange: when having the SIM+iNex, it has no signal so what I did is to put it in airplane mode, then turn airplane mode off: I had 4 bars of signal for 0.2 seconds, but then went to zero in 0.1 seconds.

So this is what I want to ask you: is there any way that my carrier detects the hypersim and tries to block, somehow, my signal?. I'm gonna go and ask them (as soon as I have time), and also get a new SIM (maybe my SIM is outdated, and the 007SH works better with newer SIMs).

If they can't give me an answer, and the new SIM does nothing, then there is nothing I can do except for paciently waiting for a software unlock that I can do myself (with a tutorial).

Meanwhile, I'll have to keep using my N82 :/

I think you'll have to wait for an eternity for SW unlock on the 007SH. People that know about solutions for that probably won't share it with anyone because they know of how much money they can make from the market demand of these handsets from the enthusiasts.

Maybe most think this information should be free but they may not consider that these people use this skill to put food on the table and so forth.

Very unlikely for the hypersim to be 'blocking' the signal- I'd say it's a worn out SIM card issue. Try getting a new one from your carrier and trying again.

I really, REALLY hope that the problem is my current SIM and nothing else .... cause if it isn't, then I don't know what to do :/ . ... the problem to me isn't the cost of the software unlocking, it is the fact of sending the phone to another country. If someone in my country (where probably 0.00001% of the people knows what a keitai is) did the 007SH software unlock for 150 dollars, I would just send it to that person .................. the bright side is that, if everything fails, at least I have a pretty damm good 16 megapixels camera and mp4 player xDDD

Try getting a SIM replacement. I concur with Yamanote, it must be a "worn-out" SIM card issue.

There's no way that the operator detects the SIM - it is undetectable. It's pointless to ask the operator because the poor helpdesk person you'll be dealing with is very unlikely to have any idea of what a hypersim is, what it does and how.

I talked by telephone to people who work in my carrier. I have a business data plan, and I would try to tell you how complex it is to change my SIM, but it's so complex that it can barely be explained by words. Seriously, all I want is a new SIM and they can't possibly make it more difficult. Luckly I'll get a new SIM in 1 or 2 weeks; if everything is OK, if not I think I will see how to change my carrier.

All carriers in my country are pieces of sh*t, but if you ever travel to Argentina, do not EVER use "Personal" (my carrier).

Worst of all: my sister just came back from united states and I saw her brand new Galaxy S2, with that huge and bright screen, and so light but most important; fully working, while I have a new unusable keitai phone in my drawer and will have to keep it that way for like 1 or 2 weeks (if lucky)

Sending phones around the world isn't too bad. I remember when I helped a few people do their 920SH MM unlock (ages ago) I sent my own phone and phones from 2 other people. So if they got loss I would have to cover the losses of other people's phones. And that was okay

Just try to imagine explaining to my mother "I'm going to send my phone to Rusia to get it unlocked". 0% of chances she will let me do it. I know, it's my phone and I should be capable of doing whatever I want with it (in fact I paid it with my own money) but still...

I could access a "secret" Android menu by putting *#*#4636#*#* in the dial and in the "Phone Information" section I think I could detect my problem:

    ======DATA========

Status: DcInactiveState disconnected with last try at *time*
    fail because NONE
    ====================

That text was repeated many times, till the phone "gave up" or something. Look:

So yeah, at least my phone recognizes that I have a problem. I mean, this doesn't solve anything, but I guess it would be much worse if my phone "thinks" that everything is allright but it's not.
Of course I've googled about the problem, and indeed, it's about the SIM card.

If you press the Menu button while you're in "Phone Information" you can adjust your band regions or something (it doesn't let you choose which bands but it lets you choose "automatic", "USA", "Japan", "Europe" etc). In my case, I tried to see if setting it to automatic or USA would solve my problem, but it didn't.

Still waiting for the SIM to arrive, but meanwhile I want to ask you something.

    I've found this on ebay:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-in-1-Supe...ht_4877wt_1270

Supposing that the new SIM won't work either, theorically I can use that thing from ebay to copy my my phone number from my non-working SIM (well, 007SH non-working-SIM to be precise) to the one they included (which has a different shape, I mean, the metalic part and maybe has more chances to work). Right?

If that's right I would like to ask you about this: I've found in ebay a Softbank Inactive USIM. Look: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Softbank-3G-...ht_3601wt_1037 . Can I use the "16 in 1 Super SIM Card Reader Writer Cloner Edit Copy Backup GSM CDMA USB Kit " to put my phone number from my non-working SIM to that Softbank USIM, and still use my current carrier (Personal Argentina) or is it impossible? I'm asking this because if I can get the phone to recognise that Softbank USIM as a "true" USIM, but at the same time use my carrier it would be like having the phone unlocked. ... although I'm not really sure why I'm asking that, because it sounds like crazy and like there's about 0,0001% of chances that it works xD

edit: I've just bought the "16 in 1 Super SIM Card Reader Writer Cloner Edit Copy Backup GSM CDMA USB Kit". For less than 4 dollars, it's worth the try xD

This menu is available from the "Droid Phone Menues" app (misspelt, yes), which Tokyo_dom discovered earlier and we mentioned with regard to tethering.
Interesting thing is that from this menu I was able to successfully switch from GSM to 3G without having to remove the SIM card and perform CPR in 3G mode.
But that's about it, it's not useful for anything else.

The last botom on that screen is somewhat interesting - OEM-specific Info/Settings - but sadly it's inactive.

Bad news. My new SIM card didn't work. I mean, it could get signal after CPR with iPhone 3GS with the Ipmart hypersim but then it lost it and couldn't recover it (I mean, the CPR works, but have to re-do the CPR every 20 minutes.... if it was like I have to CPR like once a week I'd be OK with that, but if I have to do it for every 20 minutes then there's no point). iNex hypersim didn't even work (it never did).

Guys, any chances that people who work in my or another carrier in my country have something to unlock ANY phone? (even this one which is not sold here) ?
