Signal/CPR/Hypersim issue on 007SH, any advice?

Today my 007SH arrived. It came with a iNex hypersim, and I also bought this hypersim. I decided to go first with the second hypersim, and it worked: I got signal, I tried to call, send SMS, all was fine. At some moments there was no signal, but then it could recover it. All that happened at the afternoon. At night, it lost signal and couldn't recover it. I tried to re-scan the networks; they appeared, then I selected my carrier (called Personal) and I got this: "Unable to connect at this network at this time". Retried many times, same result.I tried to enable and disable airplane mode, but nothing happened.
So I decided to do CPR (using my N82). It was unsucessful. It recovered signal completly on my Nokia, but when I put the hypersim with the SIM in the 007SH, it is like nothing happened: no signal at all. So I decided to CPR again but this time using the iNex. Same happened (no signal)

I already know that the software unlock is the definite solution, and the price thing all of that has already been discused.... but ... am I doing something wrong? is there any patch for this phone or anything?. Because right now the phone is just really an expensive mp3 player, but not a phone, and if there isn't anything I can do then I MUST go back to my Nokia till some software unlock (free or paid, but something that you can do from your own home) gets released.

Here's how to do the CPR and I think this will solve your problem. If it doesn't, there's something wrong with the hypersim.

    1. Put the SIM in the N82. Switch to GSM only. If necessary, restart the phone in GSM only. Dial your number from a different phone if possible (not really required).
    2. Remove SIM from N82, attach Hypersim, insert in 007SH, switch to GSM only, then search for signal.

The trick is to CPR in the network mode you want to be using - in 3G only to get 3G working on the 007SH, in GSM only to GSM wokring. Now, if the N82 doesn't have the "XXX only" option but only has AUTO (GSM/3G), you'll need to find a different CPR phone.

I suppose you'll want to stick to GSM because in 3G you will probably have no incoming calls but you might try your 3G network as well.

Good luck and let us know if this worked!

nope, didn't work. The Nokia N82 was ALREADY in the GSM ONLY mode (because there's no need of setting it to 3g+gsm, because although it has 3G, my country doesn't have that 3G Band). I tried again, but also setting to manually my carrier in the N82 but same result.

My mom, when she saw my new phone and I told her that it was expensive and "doesn't have 3G" she was like "why in the earth do you buy an obsolete phone???" imagine what she'll say tomorrow when she sees me carrying arround, again, my old N82 cause the 007SH doesn't work (it does work ... but not as a phone). ... as far as I know, unless you or someone else tell me something else that may work, the only thing I can do with my new phone is to keep it in a drawer till the software unlock comes out some day (if it comes to happen). ........................................ unless I tell her about sending the phone to russia to unlock it and she'll be like "O___________O ...... YOU WANNA DO WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT????????????????????????" xD

Is this INEX the only hypersim you have?
Try ordering the one I am using, it's cheap and does a great job - hopefully it will work for you too.

I tried with both: that hypersim and the iNex. But same results

Any chance your SIM card is a 3G SIM card, the 128-bit? If so, that might be the reason for your connectivity issues.

Did you make an incoming call to your SIM while on the N82 (don't need to answer, just ring)?

If that fails, then I don't know what else to say, mate... sorry.

yep, when I put the SIM back in the N82 I did a incoming phonecall to it (and just in case answered it for 2 seconds). Then I put back SIM+iNex hypersim in 007SH and still no signal. Rebooted, same result. Then I removed the SIM+iNex hypersim, put SIM back into N82, did a incoming phonecall to N82 (just in case answered for 2 seconds), then put SIM+ the other hypersim in 007SH and still no signal. Rebooted 007SH and still no signal.

    I'm f*cked

The only other thing that comes to my mind is CPR the way I do, but to do this, you need (someone with) an old keitai. In my case, I don't even have to remove the hypersim - I just put the SIM + hypersim in my good old 904SH and restore signal, then back into the 005SH. Anyway, this can only help to find out if the SIM + hypersim combination is good or not.

There are really only two possible answers to your predicament - 1. your SIM + hypersim combination is not good, and 2. your 007SH is misbehaving.

I don't know anybody here with a Keitai (in fact, I don't know anybody here with a smartphone; most people I know have an old phone or a blackberry). My 007SH misbehaving? ... mmm... I don't know, I mean, it's not broken or anything (or else the FIRST time I put the hypersim+sim wouldn't have worked .... THEN it stopped working and happened what I described).

Where did you buy your iNex hypersim and what version it is? (it is printed on the hypersim)
And what is the message in the pop-up window? (the window that pops up when you use ur N82 to do CPR)
If the message is "SB-003" something, it may not work...
"SB-005" something should pop out if it is the newest iNex hypersim
(If the IC program in the iNex hypersim is too old, it won't work with 007sh)

I got my iNex from canadajphones, and it has 2 numbers: the one of the left is written in white and it says "DC 0927" (but the 0927 is written with a font like the numbers in any calculator screen) and the one on the right, which is looks golden, says "HC-011".

edit: I removed a cardboard that the iNex had attached, and it says it's version 3.5

Window pop up in the nokia? When I do the CPR I just put the SIM alone in the nokia, not the sim+hypersim. ... that's the way it's supposed to be done (as far as I know)

it DOES register to my carrier's network if I select "register automatically" but not if I select it manually. In the notification bar, it appears the name of my carrier but I have ZERO signal. With my Nokia I have 5 bars of signal. So I don't know if it's a signal problem because of the phone or the hypersim, or a carrier problem or what, but the result is that I still can't use the phone. I went to other part of my house, with a window and still got zero signal.
