    Non-replaceable battery = catastrophic fail.
No memory card = colossal fail.
    Phone = total fail.

Not for me, thanks anyway HTC!

I may of thought one time the same way but battery so far is not an issue get one day easy.
Used to like having 32 Gig internal memory, 32 Gig SD card but it truth I loaded the memory content I never used.

Love the phone so far, back is not scuffed I carry my phone in a horizontal pouch.

The only weird thing is I placed the phone into Airplane mode and in two occasions it would not exit airplane mode, may try to automate this with Phone Weaver.

Rogers Customers - Given the choice which would you buy, the white One X Rogers, LTE 16GB version or the grey, 32GB quad core international version?

Great review! The One X is a strong contender in being my next phone!

The embedded battery was not their best idea imo but I can get over it lol

Very nice and detailed review. This phone has caught my eye, and I have really wanted to pick one up to use on the Rogers LTE network. Might be taking the plunge soon..

I don't like Android anymore but LTE is worth it, good thing there is no LTE yet in Edmonton otherwise I might get this phone. I might be able to wait till iPhone 5 comes out with LTE

What ever the iPhone 5 is it will be like other iPhones over-hyped, limited OS

Yup. One X is really good with the camera quality. I have been testing it with different combinations of shades and lights. It has proved its worth.

I used an HTC one X, Telus branded and just wanted to add a small blurb as well.

I personally don't like the HTC One X. And the only reason I say this is Sense.
I know, I know. "But Treatz, you knew it had Sense before you tried it!!"

Let me take you on my thought process on this one.
I used and loved the Desire Z, one of my favourites. Sense on that wasn't overbearing, and I learned to live with it. That was a while back though and to be honest, once I used the Galaxy Nexus in vanilla form I really don't like any customization. Sense, Blur, Touchwiz or whatever else exists to me are all just things to slow me down figuratively and literally.

Sense, on the One X, will slow me down in 2 ways. The first way is the actual implementation and feel of sense. Now, if the One X is your first android device then you may not even notice these "issues" that I have. My first gripe that I instantly noticed was the task switcher. It was so quick and flickable with ICS. on the ONE X it's all nice cards that slide in and out and you flick them up to close apps I don't like that. At all.

I Also don't like the widget implementation, and how there's pages and pages of widges. how many clocks do I need to go through before I can get to the starbucks widget! Sure, you can press the groups and sort them that way but I don't want to! I'm being fussy, yes I know.

Secondly, and I see this with all Android phones so I'm not picking on HTC or the One X solely. SW updates take forever, if at all. There's a good chance that this time next year, when whatever candy that starts with the letter K OS comes out the One X may get the OS months later. Or it may not get it at all.
Seems every day there's a new RSS feed telling me that this or that android phone won't get Jellybean / ICS because of "performance" issues. Translation, sorry, we can't get our customizations to run quick enough, or they won't fit so you can't get the newest OS.

These 2 factors in my eyes have culminated into me just not liking the phone.
Sure, it's LTE, and the screen is gorgeous. But that's now. Months from now when everyone is enjoying shiny new OS's on their Nexus's's's are you going to really love the screen and LTE as much?

This argument plays consistently in my mind. Do I keep a phone long enough to even care? Treatz of years ago would say hell no, Flip and burn. Treatz of today kinda cares.

I see the One X as an excellent phone that HTC ruined. IMHO

    Agree with everything you said.

For the most part I have problem with sense, I use Nova Launcher that helps.
The main issue is because of the modifications that are really not needed and because Rogers is slow approving updates I may have the next Nexus device before I have Jellybean.

Patience may carry me so far, I may in time root and go with custom ROMs.

Mind you Rogers HTC ONE X did get a firmware update today.

I'm having a hard time choosing what I want more: the One X or the Galaxy S3.

After doing more research I have to lean on Samsung because of the expandable memory (10GB on the One X is too little). Has anyone made the choice of getting the One X over the S3 and regretting it in term of those features alone? I love the screen on the One X but I just don't know.
