iPhone 6GB data use on LG Gossip for tethering

I have a fido iPhone 3gs with the 6gb data plan. Can I put my sim card in a fido LG Gossip pro and tether though wifi without additional charges or do I have to change my dataplan?

I want to confirm since fido classifies the LG Gossip pro as a phone rather then a smartphone. I cant call in to the CS now since I'm at work but will like to swing by a fido store to pick one on my way home.

I searched but did not find an answer. Best response I see is linked below.

Assuming the phine is able to do so (it runs on Gingerbread, so it should), you'll be good to go.

In the business terms Fido doesn't consider it as a smartphone phone. However it's an android device, so Bad Liar is right, should work...

Anyways you have a satisfaction warranty of 15 days / 30 minutes...
