Maintain MMS settings after Jailbreak
I just got my first iPhone (yes really) and it's an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1. Im on Straight talk and would like to get the MMS working. Using redsnow to do a tethered jailbreak works fine and with tetherme I can change the MMS settings and it works. I tried backing up through itunes and then reloading iOS from scratch because a tethered jailbreak is a little bit of a headache. After this I tried restoring the backup but the settings dont carry over. Is there a way to maintain the MMS settings once they are entered or does the phone have to remain jailbroken?
Also, with the new unlock method which is out, is it worth it for me to do it now while it still works or??? I.e. once it's done will it remain unlocked or does it depend on the firmware version like jailbreaking does?
