    ICS for S2X

Samsung Canada announced today that the ICS updates would start rolling out starting today.

    http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/30/s...chwiz-rollout/

Unfortunately when I called Telus they had no idea and had heard nothing. Unfortunately I was not surprised. The nice gentleman also told me that they would not hear until probably the day it comes out.

    Sigh

    Anyone out there heard anything????

Am currently using an unlocked Telus S2X with Wind. Would the update only be available to Telus users that log into their site with their account numbers?

Sorry if it's a noob question. Still really new to the android world after having a berry for 5 years.

I know Telus is slow, but I also wonder if the delay is also due to the fact that Telus (and Rogers) isn't using the SII international version.

My other question is when the upgrade does come out will this mean a totally clean phone after the install? I do have everything backed up but re installing 77 apps is a bit of a pain

The update is in fact out! However, it's not OTA. To get it, you just have to install Kies, plug the phone in and it'll prompt you to install a firmware update. It's Android 4.0.3 and I didn't have to reinstall any apps :-)

    Hello everyone!

Is anyone finding a huge battery drain issue with the update?

In two hours I've gone down 30%ˇ!

I'm also finding the reception has taken a bit hit.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
