Following this tutorial will void your warranty due to unlocking, rooting, and flashing.


Things you will need.

-HTC thunderbolt
-Cdma workshop v3.8.3
-Rooting program(http://lmgtfy.com/?q=revolutionary.io)
-Rom (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=liquid+gingerbread+3.2+thunderbolt)
-Verizon 4G LTE SIM
-HTC THUNDERBOLT DIAG DRIVERS (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=htc+thunderbolt+diag+drivers)
-PRL 3022 (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=metropcs+prl+3022)
-MSL

AND NOW THE GOOD STUFF

First thing first..... ROOT

Download revolutionary i highly recommend it.

and let it do its thing and install superuser files to have superuser.apk

Getting your "virtual meid"

This worked for me. it may not work for you.

***Ensure LTE card is inside the phone***

Open dialer and type ##3424 and hit the call button and select enable modem diag.

Direct your driver the one you downloaded from the above search if your computer did not find it automatically.

1. Open CDMA Workshop
2. Find>connect>Read your port
3. Go to security tab
4. send spc > 000000
5. Go to main tab and select cdma-2
6. change R-UIM to NV ONLY
7. RESTART YOUR PHONE WITHOUT CLOSING OR DISCONNECTING CDMAWORKSHOP
8. Find>connect>Read your port
9. Go to security tab
10. send spc > 000000
11. On Meid select read
12. Your meid should appear as A000000...... if so continue to 13a if not 13b
13a. click drop down arrow on meid portion and select htc method.
14a. Hit write and select first step.
15a. RESTART YOUR PHONE IF NOT AUTOMATICALLY DO NOT CLOSE CDMAWORKSHOP!!!!!
16a. Find>connect>Read your port
17a. send spc > 000000
18a. Hit write on meid section and select option 2.
19a. RESTART YOUR PHONE
13b. You were not succesful on obtaining your "virtual meid" i cannot help you further due to my first statement "I IN NOW WAY CONDONE YOU WRITE, EDIT, MODIFY ANY ILLEGAL FLASHING" once you figure it out you may continue onto the next set of steps.



NOW FOR THE AWESOME STUFF

Setting up your data

1. Open CDMA Workshop
2. Find>connect>Read your port
3. Go to security tab
4. send spc > 000000
5. Go to "other" tab
6. Write prl from above
7. Go to main tab
8. Click READ
9.

CDMA TAB

ROAM PREF= home only
MODE PREF= Automatic
Hybrid PREF= Allowed

CDMA-2 TAB

SID/NID lists= 6503

EVDO TAB

PAP USER: 10digit#@mymetropcs.com
PPP USER: 10digit#@mymetropcs.com
HDR NAI: 10digit#@mymetropcs.com
HDR USER: 10digit#@mymetropcs.com
HDR PPP: 10digit#@mymetropcs.com
TETH. NAI: 10digit#@mymetropcs.com

PAP Pass: MSL
PPP Pass: MSL
HDR Pass: MSL
HDR Pass: MSL
HDR PPP: MSL

CLICK M.IP Profiles

Change Profiles to 1

NAI= 10digit#@mymetropcs.com
T.NAI= 10digit#@mymetropcs.com

Ha Shared Secret: MSL
AAA Shared Secret: MSL

Check mark on rev tunnel pref.

Change addresses to the following.

Home
000.000.000.00
P. HA address
255.255.255.255
S. HA address
255.255.255.255

change M.IP Beh to simple only

and active to 0

Now go to GPS ONE

CHECK MARK ALL
pde ip adress: 198.017.001.000
PDE PORT #: 3425
PDE TRANSPORT: IP
POS. CALC: PDE

NOW HIT WRITE.


THAT ENABLES TALK TEXT WEB AND GPS.

NEXT steps will allow you to enable apps and mms

ONLY CONTINUE IF YOU HAVE DATA ACCESS

1. Load custom rom from above
2. reboot phone twice
3. Flash zip file from attachments via custom recovery
4. reboot twice.

YOU now have talk text web mms apps gps

If above method fails to give u apps and mms you need to do the following

Install autostart.apk
Have autostart.sh /data/opt with full privileged
Have u2nl /system/bin with full privileged
Have iptables /system/bin with full privileges


I work and attend school both full time so if you PM me i may take a while to respond but i have no problem helping you out if your stuck. if your stuck on step 1 then give up i wont help u..

I've yet to be able to flash a Razr Maxx but were are u located? perhaps if your in the orange county area i can help u

I havent yet but if your located in southern california you can bring it by my shop in westminster n i can give it a try
