Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network

OK, so they don't want big towers because they are ugly and they don't want small poles because they are in their yards. I presume they do want wireless service. I have some degree of sympathy but you can't have it both ways. The companies can do a lot to reduce the visual impact but you still have to get the signal up into the air.

Man, some of the comments on that article are really something else:
Uhh...Poles should be phased out with the advancement of today's technology. We should be moving forward, not backwards!
Oh heavens to Betsy, not your PRISTINE YARD!My property value will decrease, my health may be impacted, my pristine yard will be marred[...]
Well, I never! Construction trucks? Making noise? Near the elementary school? There are construction trucks on New Road making a lot of noise. I do not know what type of work they are doing, I did not see a sign on the trucks when I passed them. Right near the local elementary school too!
My goodness; things really are going to pot over there, aren't they? Also, the once-a-week trash collection is a much more important issue than some people fully realize. It will be easy for people to say to themselves, "No big deal, just one day," but these things matter. Things like twice-a-week trash collection are what make our twp a much more attractive place to live.
Wow they really are going to town on this one. The comments section blew UP..
I just read the article and the linked one about the neighborhood meeting; looking at the pictures, those poles are eyesores... Couldn't they have at least decorated the poles so they don't look so bad?
For all I care Verizon, ATT, Sprint, And T-Mobile can put all the towers they want up on my land. It's not like half the people that live there will even have time to go outside and look up them while they are enjoying the new much faster network.
