Lately I've been noticing that after a little bit 2-10 minutes, sometimes longer, sometimes less, if I am on WIFI the connection will become dead on my phone and not work, then switch to mobile data but wifi is still active, and sometimes it even switches the wifi off on it's own.. It's not the WIFI as everything else works fine on it..And the battery is good so couldn't be the phone shutting the wifi radio down early.. It seems it sometimes likes to do this with the mobile data as well with the EDGE logo going from blue to white and vs versa fairly often...
I'm on Android 2.3.6... Honestly I wished I knew a way to downgrade the OS, some apps that used to work don't now on 2.3.6 that used to work on 2.3.4 I believe it was..
Also, at first I was able to go for example, through Facebook while on WIFI and click and load videos, now it doesn't want to play them, that and 80% of my Videos on my SD Card that used to play don't play anymore.. This all seemed to of happened after the update but again I could be wrong.. Does anyone have any idea what this may possibly be? I'm alright if I have to redo the phone, but if someone knows a way I can save all my contacts, sms/mms, emails, stuff like that (aside from the SD Card data) beforehand, I would do that... Do you think I may need to redo the entire phone to factory settings? or does anyone know what the issue is?
Would one of the virus / spyware scanners from the Play Store (Android Market) possibly help, and if so, what is a good one that works well & is uninstallable? Hope I made some kind of sense here, any additional information needed please feel free to ask...
Thanks

I had something like that happening on my Droid X once. It turned out it was an app with a setting that I had inadvertently enabled which turned off wifi after the screen turned off. I'd recommend checking any apps you've recently installed and see if they might be responsible.
