LG Spectrum default browser delay

When browsing to a URL there's a significant delay (even on WiFi) before the green bar starts showing download activity.
I though it was related to location determination, but, after I turned that off, the delays persisted upon subsequent launches.

I downloaded and use Firefox and don't have these delays.

Does anyone have any insight as to why the default browser "stalls"? Thanks!

I'm happy to report that the LG update fixed that problem! I wasn't pleased that the update didn't seek my permission to start, and, after I booted the phone and had WiFi on at boot-up, the download persisted on 3G.
