T-Mobile should compare AT&T's best 4G phone to theirs and Verizon's LTE, if they really had anything behind their ad's, then they wouldn't be so scared to.

Until then it shows they are desperate and pathetic and is probably why they continue to bleed customers out the wazoo.
The average consumer doesn't know the difference between iphone 4g and the rest. 4g is 4g. Thats all they see.

If you can post your *proof* their network is mostly 14.4 (which it DOESN'T matter because it still qualifies as 4G), then kudos to you.

Every good smartphone on AT&T now is HSPA+ capable, and the LTE one's and many others are also 21.1+ capable.
Then they need to say they have the largest 21Mb 4g network. Cause that would be true.

AT&T has QAM64 deployed across their mobile broadband entire network, please be my guest to factually dispute that. Besides that, where does T-Mobile ever say anything about the speed's of their network. They truly do have the largest GPRS network, probably in the world.

"AT&T is deploying HSPA+ 21 in areas that have the proper backhaul to support it. Some areas only have HSPA+ 14.4 because the proper backhaul isn't there yet. I have seen numerous devices (non-LTE) reach download speeds way over 14.4Mpbs. "

Yeah, deploying HSPA+ 21 in feb when t-mobile already is at 42. In many areas a year ago.

True that. Although I think what they know is the lack of coverage, not the exact speed.
Me personally I think there claim to be largest 4G network is true because their using a network with higher theoretical speed then AT&T LTE in some areas and the network backs it's advertisement by delivering a more reliable data experience than Verizon and the speeds are becoming extremely similar every day and what percent of verizons users actually use LTE again?

Oh yes, so reliable. A community forum just like this one.. Please point to anything actually factual.

Btw. T-Mobile is still deploying HSPA+ while AT&T and the rest are deploying LTE capable of up to 73mbit/s....

I like to know when I leave a metro area, I actually have 3G at least. With T-Mobile, thats virtually impossible with their spotty UMTS coverage.

That's deceptive and and a horrible business practice that seems like it isn't helping T-Mobile whatsoever.

And also that doesn't explain why T-Mobile is trying to compare their fastest phone to a 3G network even Verizon has made public they are phasing out..

They benefit from the 4G experience by having a thick 4G channel to back the experience

Actually that wouldn't work because tmobile has edge in my area and AT&T only has GPRS according to my friends iPhone which he has 3G turned off because of it eating threw data for no reason.

AT&T's entire network is EDGE, now if its degraded because they are turning down 3G thats another thing. But the entire network is capable of EDGE. If I got EDGE everywhere on T-Mobile I would be much happier.

AT&T performs very well in most area's, especially in the area's where they have nearly double the throughput of HSPA+ 42 with their LTE network.

At&t performs very poorly in los angeles, they have a lot of work to go.

Hspa+ doesn't have good backhaul, so its not that good.

That's why AT&T deployed LTE in Los Angeles

Only in the immediate metro area. Not in the big suburban areas, they still perform mediocre at best. They have a long way to go
