I have a small hand. A handset such a big, long dimensions, I prefer to use my thumb or index fingers to deal with the buttons on the side than on the top.

GSM 9300 model is ICS 4.0.4 with 64 gig SD.

CDMA 535 model has 4.0.3 and no SD support shown.


Been with the Lady like 10 years. It's one of those love-hate relationships. She's really the hottest chick out there. But the real hot ones tend to know it. And this one, like so many, can be a real B1TC4 !

This time, I might really have to leave her.

Having used the HTC One X... I would go with that over the GS3 if I didn't already have a Galaxy Nexus (which I do enjoy).

No microSD slot and no removable battery? Yes, those are drawbacks. But the actual experience of using the One X is so, so good. The build proves that you can make a high-quality phone with a plastic shell (so does the Lumia 800/900, for that matter). Very fast. Outstanding camera, although I'd give the iPhone 4S the slight nod just for being less wide-angled and better for macros. And yep, that display -- other than being a bit too tall, it's virtually flawless.

The GS3, meanwhile, embodies some of the bad stereotypes of non-Apple smartphone makers: it's all about having bigger numbers and features for their own sake, but not paying enough attention to issues like build or screen quality. Pentile (slightly) annoys me on the Galaxy Nexus; it'll be slightly more annoying on a larger display. And does anyone want to guess how close to the GS4's launch Samsung will wait to update the GS3 to Jelly Bean? The GS3 should be a solid phone, but HTC managed to include a "whoa" factor that Samsung either lacks or doesn't justify with a months-long wait.

Do you write ad copy? The difference in display size is about 1/8 in. -- not anything like the reach of making it a 'large' factor.

The 'One' series is not tier 'One' handsets. The Rezound still is. So is the GSM version of the GSIII.

HTC will soon produce something that good, I'm sure. The GNote clone sounds like it could be special. But HTC has not yet shown it's hand -- I hope !

The only time I have troubles with the power button is when I switch back and forth between Android handsets from different companies. When I got the HTC One X I kept hitting the power button.

Oddly enough the iPhone's top mounted power button doesn't throw me off - probably because it's much smaller than a Galaxy S whatever or a HTC One X.

The One X slaughters the Rezound. Better screen, better performance, better camera, better design, better software. It's HTC's flagship phone for 2012, so it's not like it's being relegated to the sidelines.

As for displays, I was simply saying that the One X, like a lot of 4.5-inch and up phones, has too tall a screen to be perfect. You can't use it one-handed, because your thumb literally can't reach the status bar (or even the top buttons in some apps) from a natural hand position. I have the same issue on the Galaxy Nexus, and it'll definitely be true on the GS3.

Yes, a GS3 is faster, but it's not like a One X is slow. And remember: the screen is very important to a smartphone, since it's the basis of your experience. Sometimes it's worth trading a bit of speed if the overall experience is better, and while I'd like to try a GS3 for myself, I was very happy with the One X. Have you used one for more than a few minutes?

Those pics don't do the phones justice. Maybe it's because I was indoors but the blue looked much darker in person while the white seemed more 'pearly'.

Which is the better phone is arguable, but "slaughter" ain't the right word.

I hope you're wrong about the "flagship" for 2012 status. HTC can do better than that. Frankly, I am having trouble seeing what you see.
