    Samsung Galaxy S3

Will we get it this year or am I going to have to get something less cool?

Seeing how it's not even out yet I doubt very much that USCC will get it this year.....but that is just my opinion ....I would hope that I am wrong.

I'm hoping that Samsung decides to launch it universally across carriers, no exclusivity, no waiting. It would be an amazing phone, but who knows with USCC and their vigorous yet time-consuming testing.

BigE said his birdie's indicated USCC will likely be getting it this year.

The Big carriers will always DEMAND a wait. Even the Mez which went to all carriers was out on Verizon and Sprint about 2 months before it came to USCC. But I could live with 2 months and it would definately be an improvement over how long the S2 took.

If there is any phone that would break the carriers abilities to make demands, it would be this.

What would Verizon and AT&T do if Samsung said "nope, giving this to all the carriers"? Would they not sell the hottest phone of the year?

Looks like it will be coming, but knowing US Cell, you're probably going to have to wait.

Per my local store manager, a new Samsung Galaxy device will be coming by the end of July and he seemed pretty confident. I know this doesn't mean much, but I am due for an upgrade and would likely be happy with the Galaxy S2, but if the 3 is that close, I would rather wait. Knowing history, I might as well go ahead and get the 2. What is the main benefits of the 3 over the 2 other than the speeds?

Thanks for the useful comparison sincerely. But does it matter if one great phone is slightly bested by another? Unless anyone has a specific need not met by the S2 or would be selling their phone, the S2 should satisfy. How long was the S2 wait? That should be a reliable gauge.

The perfect info I was looking for, thank you! I must ask one thing,,, what is a "Plus screen"? I currently have a blackberry, and that is one thing I LOVE about it is the screen is easily viewable in direct sunlight, where all androids I have looked at are still very dim,,, although better than they used to be.
