Of course people, if you have the previous version of the value packs, you must call to change it...

Text messages are not included? I haven't been in the loop for a while so I might be missing or needing to look for some info. I have the NA $50 calling plan and I believe the Retentions $10 iPhone value pack.

Fido plans have text messages included. And 50% off Rogers value pack is no longer available

There's never been a $10 retention iPhone VP.

Well I took a look at my bill and I have a iPhone VP that is $10 and it includes caller id/name display, visual voicemail, and 2500 text messages. And it was through Retentions. So they had it previously at some point.

    1) - Called in Today and was told this pack only comes with "Visual Voicemail" not regular voicemail.
Now looking at the Visual voicemail plus description, it is sent by MMS on unsupported Android phones. So if one gets this pack (which includes MMS) on a feature phone which supports MMS, does it mean this pack should work?

    2) - If I got this pack for an iphone, is it possible to disable Visual Voicemail on the phone ( or through the phone app) when roaming , to prevent data charges OR will one have to call in to have it done ?

Its just a regular retention VP for $10, not a retention "iPhone" VP because there is no such a thing, like what Bad Liar said.

iPhone VPs include Visual Voicemail, so if you do not have that then you only have a regular VP.

Yes, that is why I said it was through Retentions. They added it for me but I'm not sure if it was exclusive to Retentions or not. And they gave a VP that they said was for the iPhone at the time because it included visual voicemail.

I remember that being $15 when they first came out with iPhone VP's. I don't remember it being $10, through retentions , retail or promo, but if your bill says it I believe you.

They Data Roaming switch is suppose to be off anyways. Make sure it is and that will prevent you to use Data while roaming... Only the basic voicemail will work...
