I had some snafus in porting that caused it to take 3 days to get sorted but it should complete within a day or two under normal circumstances.ĵ

I just preordered the Lumia 920 and am also porting from Straight Talk (t-mo) to AT&T postpaid. This is the exact information I used to give AT&T for the port information. Hopefully I have no problems and will report if I do.

My phone finally arrived and today I initiated the port with AT&T. The above information provided by silentjudge is correct as I had no problems and my port was completed in a matter of minutes! Straight Talk finally deactivated my service a few hours later.

As a side note, LTE is blazingly fast in NYC!

I'm on 4GB mobile share with wifi hotspot, visual voicemail, unlimited talk/text and LTE. I pay $92.50 due to my 25% fan discount. minus roughly $20/month for phone subsidy so I'm paying $72 plus tax for those services. Straight Talk can't touch that.

At least the op don't have to look over his shoulder if ST is watching. Sudden burst of data in a day or two can get you throttled, disconnected and no BS'sing

like have said before st is not a good fit for all.you can try it for 30 days and if
you dont like you havent lost that much dough and can leave with your hands clean.

Not trying to disagree with peeps but.............

    I am using a AT&T Samsung S3 as a
BYOD on ST. I was told in an email that the account number is the "phone number" and
    there is no pin number.
With VZW........BAD network where i live and work!
    Changed to ATT..........

I apologize to bring up an old topic, but I figured it was better than a new one. I'm thinking of porting out of ST in a couple of weeks when service is up. I know with the BYOP the number on the SIM is the account number.

I know silent judge here said you can find your 4 digit pin on the account info page - I've found this but mine is 5 digits - I remember making it up when I started. I've also seen some say no pin was needed or the pin is your last 4 of the phone number or the sim number - any clarification on this?

Send off an email to ST support or use Facebook. They will tell you what you need to know.
Do it now and write it down so there will be no issues when you do decide to port.

Thanks lenny, I figured I'd eventually go that route, but coming to HOFO sometimes is faster and honestly, more accurate.

When you do get the answer from ST, if you can share if its the 5 digit PIN on the account website, that would be appreciated. Save others a separate FB support query (as I am probably also porting out too)

I sent off a support email to ST when i ported from Page Plus to Straight Talk.

I was told by Straight Talk support that my account number is the phone number and there is no pin.
I was told by Page Plus support that my account number is the phone number and the pin is the last 4 digits of the phone number.

example..........ST with a phone number of 123-456-7890. Account number is 123-456-7890 (no pin)
..................... PP with a phone number of 123-456-7890. Account number is 123-456-7890 and pin is 7890

Here is the response i received from Straight Talk............

Hi lenny, thanks for sharing. Was that a recent response from them? Because we've definitely heard from others that the account number is the SIM #, so trying to figure out if it was one way, then changed to the other, or if Straight Talk basically works both ways...

I'll likely be sending in my own support query and see if I get a third answer
