Just scored an Lg Optimus Elite at local Wal Mart. I posted some info on the Optimus Elite is coming thread. As you all start to obtain these phones, use this thread to post Ur thoughts and any tips or tweaks.

It took awhile on the phone to get activated, the cs guy said it is not supposed to be out until May 13, 2012. I don't know if that's the true date or not. Im already having data.problems. Internet worked for about an hour, then get an Error code 67. Anyone know a fix for that? Vm just said to give it up to four hours, but still not working.

Is the elite basically the same as the slider but without the keyboard?

Yes and no. The CPU is the same, but the screen is bigger (same res though), 1GB internal memory, LED flash, NFC and 802.11n (not sure if slider has n).

They are $150. My local store had 5 in stock, but I did not purchase today.

I paid $149.88 and, yes, I am on the grandfathered plan. Still no data, error code 67. They tried resetting it multiple times, its about to go back.

not sure if op managed to keep $25 plan or not. if he did, perhaps VM haven't updated their system yet.
i do wonder if VM will let you go back to $25 if you switch back to older phones, claiming it was a mistake or something.
