After many attempts to get data working, I took the elite back. The phone was nice, but they could not get it working right. Error 67 message. Reactovated Op v and yes, still on $25 plan.

Does anyone with a $25 account want to volunteer to be a guinea pig?
I'm going to call a couple local Walmarts today. If the have them in, ill pick one up, as well as switch to the $35 plan and see if data works then.

How do I switch to the $35 plan from my $25 though? I don't think there's a way if you're grandfathered in. I just assumed when I topped up after the 27th, it would automatically do it.

I would never pay an extra $10 per month. It was a pretty decent phone, I liked it. It felt good in hand and pocket.

I was just in Connecticut and drove by a Walmart, so decided to see if they had it. They did, so I bought it. Using it now. So far I like it. It's not a huge step up from the OV, but definitely a step up.

Only thing I'm weary about is the touch screen sensitivity. Definitely not as sensitive as the OV.

Also, even though its the same resolution as the OV, for some reasons, pictures seem a lot higher quality ..even the ones transfered from the OV.

Also, I noticed someone said internet wasn't working. You have to "Enable Data" in your connections settings. Its not originally checked off.

if i remember correctly, my walmarts don't even carry VM cards/phones.
anyway when you switch phones, does it show you the monthly plan you are currently enrolled in? or you will be enrolled in? VM announcement made it sound like Elite only qualifies to the grandfather plan if you purchase it before 5/27, but email responses from VM sounded otherwise.

WalMart can ship your online purchases to a local WM store of your choice. I have ordered VM items (LG Rumor 2) in the past even when no walmart store had VM products instore within 300 miles.

If the 1st csr does not provide you with what you want, try again a few minutes later.

When I go to my account(ehich actually has a very nice mobile version on this phone), it shows I'm still on the $25 plan, but I just got a $35 top up from callingmart and I'm gonna switch, because I'm not gonna risk putting $25 on and then having to re-top up on the $27th

I was able to switch from the Ov to the Elite, then back to the Ov. I remained on the $25 plan. I really liked the elite, but without working internet, it was going back. The screen on my elite was sensitive and very responsive. For those with it now, did they hsve trouble activating also? Data was enabled and working, then suddenly it stopped and gave error code. It said to visit vmobile to update profile....weird.

When is your month up? Maybe that's when they do it since technically you already paid for the month.

I was there tonight and looked..

They had the top up cards and Mifi devices. No phones. They used to carry them, but only very little since Sprint bought them out.
Your village called, they want their idiot back.

That is weird indeed, because I've had zero problems as far as connectivity.

And strangely, your touch screen was too sensitive, while mine seems to be not sensitive enough. Not a huge issue for me though. Still definitely beats my Optimus V(and the Triumph in almost every way)

Battery life is pretty incredible too.
