For those who are calling it self inflicted or ONLY tethering related....are wrong. My first Elite got the error 67 after one hour of activation. Vm could not fig. it out. No hotspot used. Took phone back and got a new one. The new phone had bad battery life. I bought a second Elite so my wife could continue her $25 plan. But, I swapped the new elite onto my plan to test battery. Battery life was much better on newest phone. During the activation, my old Elite got the Error 67 once service transferred to the new phone. Sure error 67 may also be tether related, but it is NOT the only reason error shows up.

Did you see the error only when away from wifi or only when on wifi (or in both cases)? I have had my Elite about a day and half, but I've been home 99% of the time -- so I'm been connected to my local wifi. Wondering if I need to turn off wifi to test if my phone has this problem.

I don't think it has passed yet, but it may be in response to a proposed law that will make it illegal to silence the shutter.

You can thank the upskirt community.

How exactly does that work on phones with touch menu/home/search/back keys? I've always wondered that. How does that work on this phone?
One of the things I liked about my optimus V, however, you can set the touch keys to illuminate (I've been told) when you have a message. Even though it isn't a dedicated message light, something is better than nothing.
how do you do that?I've had the ov since the phone came out and i didn't know that you could turn these hardware button lights on and off according to messages. can you explain? i know this thread is about the elite but this is something i need to know so im going to say sorry in advance

I finally decided to upgrade to the Elite to keep my grandfathered plan.
Very slow to charge (5 hrs)
Practically no bars in my house (The OV had 2 to 3 and worked great)

Can you turn off vibrate when you press the navi buttons, even when set to VIBRATE - NEVER?

I can't access apps on the SD card, although in Settings - Storage, it shows up.

The phone seems more responsive so far, but I am in first day.
    Great thread - thank you

Sorry, I may have worded that badly, that feature is on the Elite not the V.

To turn off the vibrate on the navigation buttons go to settings -> sound and disable haptic feedback.

wonder if al lthe bricked phones not related to tethering are due to them being shipped over clocked to 1025 mhz and not 800 as advertised.

guessing factory side they had to do that to make it run smooth, but not all can take it.

So glad I didn't run out to get one, Ill wait till they have been throughly hacked n modded to do all the V can do.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this.

    http://pocketnow.com/2012/05/24/htc-...us-voice-data/

In addition to the EVO 4G LTE, simultaneous voice and data is reportedly working on the low-end LG Optimus Elite, which just came to retail stores last week, as well as another of the carrier’s LTE options, the LG Viper 4G LTE.

Just used Google Wallet for the first time today at CVS, the cashier had a shocked look when I just put my phone up to the paypass terminal. Worked wonderfully, very fast too as a payment method. I did strike out twice before at Walgreens and HEB(Texas chain grocery store) that both had paypass terminals. The terminal at walgreens wasn't on, and the one at HEB recognized my phone and my phone said it sent data, but the paypass terminal was disabled in the point of sale machine so it did not go through. Hopefully they will fix that soon (though I can't be too mad as neither are listed as paypass merchants yet).

Did you use the $10 or $25 rebate or whatever it is that's supposed to kick in?

I used the $10 which is added instantly, the extra $15 is supposed to be added in the next 3 weeks (which seems like a long wait time :/). I do love Google Wallet now, and it is quite exclusive being only the 3rd or 4th phone to have it.

On the OV I could long press a song in the music player and there was an option to set it as the ringtone. I can't find this option anywhere on the Elite. Anyone have a solution?

Just a quick update after a few day's use,
and I am pretty much loving this phone!

It seems to do everything well, and I have not encountered
any of the problems mentioned by others in this thread.

However, not being able to mute the shutter sounds on the camera
is a definite annoyance, and they are pretty loud too.

An improvement in numerous ways over the V.
I really like the way it feels in hand and pocket.
Lighter and thinner than the V, you can barely feel it in your pocket.
Nice looking too, if ya ask me.
Apparently it has a low res display, but looks fine to me--
just as good as the V display, but bigger.
Call quality, reception, performance, camera, music all good.
Clipped the pull tag off the factory screen protector and kept it on, seems fine.
One quibble: the home button is in the least convenient spot,
at the lower left corner of the screen.

Overall, I think it's another Optimus winner!
