No problems here at all. Loving mine. It does get warm with heavy usage.

I should have mentioned that they also did a re-activation or whatever it is when you punch in all those codes in the phone.

Call up customer service and they will help you like they helped me. I wasn't sure if it was purely the factory resets or if was also the re-activation or whatever they did that ultimately fixed it, but my 67 error code has not come back nor any other code.

My phone doesn't get hot, the battery lasts a VERY long time. Been on battery 11 hours and the power percentage has barely moved.

I made a discovery earlier today. These are sold as 800mhz phones, a marginal upgrade over the 600mhz OV, HOWEVER, the phone came overclocked at 1GHZ.....no wonder the phone is as snappy as it is.

I just bought the Optimus Elite, with my grandfathered $25 plan, and everything is working fine. I've talked, texted, downloaded, browsed and everything else.

My problem however, is that I can't seem to sync my multiple GMail accounts and keep my downloaded apps on my main account.

I initially synced my phone to email "A," then download some apps. And then I remembered to add email "B" to GMail. When I try to download an app afterward, it saves to my "B" account. I've toggled between the two accounts in the Market, but I can't seem to get anything to save to email "A" while "B" is also synced to my phone. I was able to do this on the OV, so I know it's possible to toggle between accounts in the Market.

Anyone know how I may be able to fix it? Sorry if that was confusing to follow.
I have never tried to run multiple email accounts on a phone and don't see the point, but then we each have our own reasons.

I run about 15 email accounts from my PC, but on my phone, just one. If I need other mail to go to that phone, I simply forward the mail from one account to the other so it all arrives at the same place.

Maybe others are doing what you have been doing or would be interested in what you have done and why, so many you can explain more about what you are doing and why.

So I talked to VM via email, and they told me "Error 104 is not a known problem. Try exchanging it where you bought it, and if not, we will take care of it"

So I just went to Walmart and exchanged it. So far, no errors and no signal drops. So it was obviously a lemon.

On the plus side, when I activated Google Wallet, I got another $10 credit ;-)
    (My remaining $1.47 disappeared though)

I'm using different GMail accounts because I have separate personal and business emails.

I don't understand why this might be a problem. I was able to do it on the OV, hopefully i'm just making some simple mistake and someone can help me with this.

    Thanks.

Now that some of got the OE, what is the best hard case for it. We all know that an otterbox is months away. Body glove is coming out with one soon, so that looks interesting. Some of the ones that are on Amazon, look like you could blow on them and they would crack.

I haven't looked at cases yet and don't feel Otterboxes or similar cases are needed unless you are cliff climbing with your device. All of the "cases" add so much bulk.

My OV has a silicone case...but it seems bulky, but then the OV is chunky to begin with.

I don't know that a huge case is needed, especially for a low price phone like this. I am considering the newer skin type, TPU, vs. the traditional thicker silicone.

I have never had one of the two piece hard cases.

I went ahead and bought one primarily hoping to stay on my $25 grandfathered plan, time will tell if I made a mistake or not.

leapoffaithmobi found a very nice review that he posted over here:

    direct link to video review
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH-LnKZCKNM

The video review is very good and actually covers a lot of very useful stuff, so watch it.

As far as my own impressions, overall I like it. It is an upgrade from OV that I had before, mainly because of more RAM and faster CPU. LauncherPro made OV a lot more responsive during UI interactions, but it could not fix ever so slight lagginess during web page rendering, or gallery browsing, or pinch zooming, etc. OE does not slow down like OV does. OV had trouble playing Angry Birds, OE handles them like a charm, everything else feels more responsive as well.

Size wise it is actually very close to OV. It's just a smidge taller and just a smidge wider, however it is a lot thinner, and a lot lighter, so it actually feels less noticeable in my pants pocket, which is a big plus for me. After handling OE for a while OV almost feels like a brick, I was really surprised by how much I ended up liking physical attributes of OE.

Sadly, the screen is some sort of plastic, if I push it with my thumb, I can see reflection distort in a cone-like shape on the screen. Also, since this is a new phone it looks like very few companies make screen protectors for it yet. You can buy cheap, thick, plastic one from ebay, but I really dislike those, they are not smooth to the touch, and they are difficult to apply, any spec of dust under the protector shows up as a huge blob on the screen. On my OV I had a "wet application" screen protector that I really liked, it was completely unnoticeable, finger print resistant, and had silky smooth gliding action. I just wish something like that was available for OE, but alas it does not look like it is. So in the meantime I would strongly advise anyone buying OE to leave factory protector in place and to just cut off the pull tab. The good news however is that 3.5" screen is better to use, Swype makes less errors when I text. It also has a little better contrast than OV. OV was kind of washed out for me, reading google maps on OE is definitely a little easier for me. On the downside, OE screen is a little less bright on maximum brightness, so I have more trouble reading it in direct sunlight.

Other minor annoyances are no notification led. There is an option to use front keys instead of a led indicator, and it does work, however, it is not as good as a dedicated led because it's more difficult to see during daytime. The blinking interval is also a tad too long for my liking, I'm hoping to try and adjust it with some of the market apps, but so far I have not had time to do it yet. The volume down button has a kind of a "mushy" feeling to it, for the lack of better term. I've handled two different OE and both had the same issue. The volume down button works, but when you press it, it feels as if it brushes against sometime on its way down, and you can hear ever so faintly a "second" click that is not really a click.

The video review mentioned it, but it takes a really really really long time to charge this phone. I'm talking hours to go from 50 to 100%. I am not sure if it translates into better battery life, or if it will get better after several charges, but it's something you need to be aware of. There is no dedicated speakerphone, the earphone is used as a speakerphone. On one hand that's nice because you can hear music/incoming calls better when you set phone on the table, on the other hand, it's worse for incoming calls if you keep it in your pocket where earphone is going to be pressed against your leg, so keep your vibe on. Have not really had a chance to test out the quality of the earphone, initial impressions it's a little quieter than OV, but not by much. Hopefully it also won't distort during navigation like OV did, but I have not tested it during navigation yet.

Reception seems to be a bit less stable than with OV, but almost as good as OV. Initial impressions, based simply on the signal strength it is slightly worse, but still good. Again, since I just recently got the phone, I have not tried it in the known "bad" spots.

Well, hope that helps some of you people out. It's not an EVO, but if you're tired of OV and want to upgrade on the cheap while staying on one of the grandfathered plans (once again, I have to put a disclaimer, although various VM representatives have said Elite is still eligible for $25 plan, it is still not certain, so there is a bit of a risk involved), Optimus Elite might fit the bill.

I went ahead and bought one from BB yesterday as my OV was giving me headaches restarting 6-7 times a day. This thing blows teh OV away in power, but the screen quality is certainly lower (color not as saturated, a little more pixelated looking).

    Here's hoping I keep my $25 plan!

    Hey guys,

I have a question about two options on my LG Optimus Elite as I do not exactly understand what they do.
Both options are under Settings\Display and they are 'Front key LED timeout' and 'Front key as indicator'.
    What are these exactly for?

    Thanks

Front Key led timeout how long your front keys will stay lit after you last touched them. Front key as indicator will flash your front keys if you have a text message or a missed call, it's basically a cheap "replacement" for proper notification led.

The OV had NO indication of missed calls, texts, or anything. There wasn't even an initial sound or blink to let you know something had arrived at the phone.

I am happy to have anything after having nothing.

    JazzJackRabbit, thanks!

Another question... I activated Google Wallet on my Optimus Elite and received $10 and when try to purchase some apps from Google Play, I have no option to pay with Google Wallet credit and I am asked to add credit card and pay with it.
Does this mean you can use Google Wallet for physical store purchases only?
