The only thing I miss about my One V compared to my Elite, is the battery life. I worked 8 hour shift today and my Elite was dead after 6, even with wifi, sync, and gps off.

Still a great phone.

My battery life was dropping like crazy the other day so I checked to see what it was being used for. Turned out to be Groupon which I had set up to look for some deals. 1/3 of my battery usage was just that app.

Check your phone to see what is the highest usage. In most cases, it should be cell standby. If you are turning off the screen, wireless, bluetooth, and GPS, there isn't much else mandatory stuff to use battery.

I don't use the Elite a lot, but it lasts me 1.5 days usually. If I am running around town burning up the phone with Foursquare or Gas Buddy, that is another matter.

I just received a software update, which gave me Memo, AND screenshot capability.

I was thinking it was an ICS update, but its still version 2.3.7. Still nice to have an update though.

Defintely considering picking up this phone especially with the recent google wallet update.

Any new good cases and screen protectors available for it? There is something better then the TPU cases right?

You won't be disappointed. Definitely worth the price.

Anybody figured out how to assign volume buttons to actually either control volume or skip a song like you could do on V while playing music on pandora or regular player?

Just got the last elite that was in the store yesterday. Loving so far.

Signed up for Google Wallet and got a ten dollar credit. Should I expect anything else or was I too late to the party?

Also, tried to keep the screen protector on and failed with that. I want another screen protector but want to keep it cheap.

It looks like the $25 promotion was only through 7/18. At least they updated the app and you can use any card now!

Yeah I will probably link up a card sooner or later.

Anyone using any NFC tags with their Elite? I'm considering buying some off of Amazon, programming them, and sticking them wherever I felt like it.

Is it true that this phone drains battery and gets hot when on 3G? Or that was the problem with just few lemons?

Mine does only when it's in a low signal area, not at all times on 3G.

Thanks I finally swapped to optimus elite.
While activating it wants to download essentail id and keep getting failed....tried multple time even restarted by phone. No luck.

Any way to fix this? What is it, do I even need it?

Just a crap id pack from sprint made to hog more memory. It will just change your wallpaper and install some apps. There is no other use of. The reason it failed might be that you weren't connected to 3g. You can't download the pack from wifi. Just try not to download it.
