Personally, I would wait to see that they get the GPS issue fixed before purchasing one.

So I held out on the galaxy s2 for a mothers day deal so they are now $149. Pretty good price, but should I buy them now or hold out for a better deal that may come in mid June? Or at least be within the 30 day windows to still be able to get that deal "if" one comes out?

MOTOROLA Still #1 in reception and call clarity.
The GPS issue has been confirmed by US Cellular and Samsung has been working on a fix for over a month.
GPS works on and off and will show a location of up to 20 miles from actual location.
Agree on the testing. They need to get some new testers. Part of the problem is that this phone was so hyped and US Cellular had to have it.
Is it on all S2's or just some? If I get a bad one it should be covered by the warranty.
Looks like USCC posted Mothers Day sales. Pretty crappy for existing customers.
New Line activations get instant rebates.
Hey thanks USCC... hopefully it's not the only sale. Mothers disappointed around the U. S.

All the decent deals for the last year have been for new activations only. Really pisses me off and I've told CS several times.
Actually, you can get this one. It doesn't specify for new activations anywhere, only on the front page does it say "new 2 year contract applies", but everwhere else it doesn't specify. I ordered mine and they didn't even ask, just billed me for $149. The local store would not honor the price as it's online only, but that's good enough for me.
Looks like that's correct. I signed into my account and went through upgrading my phone and it billed me at $149.
What's weird, is on the front page, Under the "Things we want you to know section" it states
Requires new account activation and a two-year agreement (subject to a pro-rated $150 early termination fee). Agreement terms apply as long as you are a customer.
The "require new account activation" is confusing. Even when USCC posted on their facebook page it said add a new line get an instant rebate.
Anyway, glad it works..Mothers around the US sigh in relief.
