My iPhone won't alert me of anything at all, only the ringtone. It doesn't work for texts, emails, lock screen, keyboard, etc... I tried a soft reset and it worked then all of a sudden stopped again after a couple min.
Also won't play music. I can hear the music and keyboard clicks through BT in my car but not my phone. I did just take a loaner car back where I had the BT hooked up for music, could that have anything to do with this? And no my mute switch isn't on...
Turn off bluetooth... If your bluetooth device is in range it will auto pair to it... If your car does not have a disconnect mode go to settings->general-> bluetooth and try turning that off.
Also just trying turning the volume up and down on the the phone. If you get the volume icon with no text, something strange is happening, if the volume has a label like (headset) or says the option is not available, it is not available then it is likely sending audio to bluetooth. If it says headphones then it thinks something is in the headphone jack... if you don't have something plugged in there, the jack might be stuck...
