Sprint's Network Vision initiative will significantly improve network performance as it's a complete overhaul, this project does not directly involve Clear in regards to increased deployments.

Next year around this time (or possibly the Fall) would be 2013. If Sprint is passing down an LTE-capable handset to its prepaid divisions, wouldn't that mean prepaid customers will see LTE service before 2014?

Sprint is always going to look for ways to increase revenue from its large number of prepaid customers; hence the required $35 plan for WiMax phones. The sooner they can get more subscribers on LTE, the sooner they can implement even costlier prepaid plans. Plus, if they don't act quickly, VM and Boost risk losing customers to T-Mobile or other carriers which might have better prepaid 4G options.

Sprint should really have a prepaid LTE option available by Christmas 2013. If not, they will have fallen behind in the game.

Did anyone who preordered from RS get a shipping notice yet? I haven't. Someone posted to FB that they ordered from RS yesterday and got their shipping notice yesterday also. That is beyond wrong.

All I see with my Radio Shack order status is "item located in stock" which means WHAT EXACTLY?!?!

This is an extremely screwy situation. I went into the local Best Buy today and they had no idea when the Evo might be arriving. All they can do is take "pre-orders" for the device. That's ironic because it is no longer a pre-order at this point.

    Looks like another VM Fail.

What a joke a few on android forums just walked into 'the shack' and bought it. Radio shack doesn't understand how to handle pre orders? Customers have long memories

I've read much of the same, it appears to be hit and miss. Also some are being told from Best Buy reps that they will begin selling it tomorrow.

I highly doubt think sprint will give prepaid 4G LTE a year from now. the only reason VM and Boost are getting wimax is because it has become uncompetitive and undesirable in the post paid market and they had to do something with it.

strange. I thought there was video of one with Virgin Mobile branding already out?

I'm strongly considering this phone. I just want to know if I can port from SimpleMobile or is it easier to just get a new number?

it's weird, I'm biased towards the iPhone but this sucker is such a daggum steal that I almost want to buy it just because.

can I port a SimpleMobile number to virginmobile? man I get paid on Thursday and I need a phone bad!! I'm trying to boil it down to this or the Nexus. $100 more but I wouldn't have to do anything more than wait on the mail.

if I get this, I have to port but I'll have insurance which is always rad to me.

somebody solve my dilemmas for me, RIGHT NOW LOL!

Yep, this was my first and last preorder from RS.

Finally got a shipping confirmation from them. I thought "ship to store" would be faster, but it won't be there till Wed. Oh well, at least I know now that my order wasn't cancelled.

Same boat. And they're being shipped fed ex ground.

And that video could easily be fake. I'm not trying to call that dude a liar, but it could easily be the sprint phone over a display box.

I agree with you that guy could be a fraud, but this guy's video seems to confirm that he's not. Seriously, the Sprint badges still being on the phone, really crack me up.

I noticed the Sprint logo as well. I've never seen a Sprint logo on a VM phone before, but I've heard some Boost handsets do carry them. Perhaps VM will start displaying the logo of its parent company now?

It's also possible VM was in such a hurry to get these phones out on the market that they skipped the process of removing Sprint's logo from the refurbishing process.
