He's not mocking. Ilvla2 just likes to drop random pop culture references in the middle of threads for gits and shiggles.

Regarding the price, it may not be ideal, but USCC could charge whatever tey want for it, not subsidize it as much, or not at all and offer different plans, etc.

Regarding the iPhone 6, at this point I'd assume that it'll launch a year from when the five did, which was...what, September? October? It had always been June, but I'd assume we're now updating in the fall. Particularly with the need to use a 32nm chip, and possibly A15, I wouldn't expect it for a few months.

The idea that it'll launch in September/October after Boost gets the 4 and 5 in September makes sense to me.

Plus it maked sense because apple has said publicly they really benefited from holiday shoppers in a way they didn't anticipate or experience with prior iPhone releases.

Oh, yeah, if that increases sales makes sense. To me a cell phone shouldn't have anything to do with any particular time of year, but...guess it does so hey, might as well take advantage of it!

Did I miss something? The iPhone 4S launched last year; the iPhone 5 hasn't been released.

    The "4s" is the 5.

Doesn't look like it to me.

And that was just one of dozen's of links referring to the "upcoming" iPhone 5, which is expected later this year.

I think what many people are overlooking is the fact that USCC does not have a large amount of spectrum in its home base in Chicago, IL. Without a a large amount of spectrum and a sudden influx of data hungry users that would put a HUGE strain on their network. I'm guessing they are waiting untill a couple things happen, 1) apple releases an LTE version of the iPhone (we all know its comming at some point). 2) They build their 4G network in more markets.
Just because I look crazy, Doesn't mean I am crazy. I just enjoy life.... Usually.

Sorry if I let facts get in the way of conjecture. The guy is a manager of two USCC stores and I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest he might be a tad more plugged in to what is going on than a choo-choo aficionado.

Thank you. The internet has already robbed people of proper spelling and grammar, I figured it was starting to eat away at sequential numbering as well.

Not to mention that nobody (not the media, not Apple, not people in regular conversation) refers to the iPhone 4S as the iPhone 5. It *does* run iOS 5, however, which is a different thing.

I've noticed a trend on this forum where people seemingly purposely spell or name iOS devices incorrectly just because they dislike iOS. I remember one particular user who was particularly fond of calling the iPhone the I-Phone despite people correcting him. Not saying that's the case here, but it wouldn't be the first time I've seen it.
