The way Lyons worded it is very ambigious. I guess until we hear a success story, we'll just have to settle on the fact that these are only for new activations.

I just read a tweet of Mobi's CEO, and it appears that existing customers CAN take advantage of the promo... on their due date (or at least that's how I read it).
Check it out for yourself: https://twitter.com/#!/stewartlyons/...84996882231296
EDIT: It seems bluenote73 has already addressed this in the other thread.![]()

From what I understand..if you keep your phone number and port both ways...they won't give you a better rate or your old promo rate just to punish you for leaving in the first place.
Remember the uproar years back when the big wouldn't allow a subscriber to port their number?
I think Mobilicity is really looking foolish by exercising this additional policy as well.....
Mobilicity frees Canadian cellular smartphone users - or at least - till one of the big 3 gobbles them up!
At least you see my points....like I said ...if treated differently....I might just stay if more competition comes in and are just as competitive...ala Wind...
But I'm still with Mobilicity......

The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband.
Don't send me PMs for questions that can be asked publicly.
I interpreted the tweet as meaning a change to a different (current) plan effective the beginning of the next billing cycle would not be a problem.@bluenote73 everything starts anew for every customer on their due date each month:-)
To confirm I called CS today and asked if I could switch from my $40 FnF to the 37.50 effective my next billing cycle, the CSR was unequivocal that I could. He volunteered I could in fact make the change immediately. He also confirmed that I would retain my existing $2 PAC discount if I stayed on PAC.
Much ado about nothing, it seems.
In the AWS/cellular context, TAFL is Industry Canada's list of all base stations in operation, as submitted by the spectrum licensee the month prior.
The underlying database is Industry Canada's Assignment and Licensing System (ALS)
A subset of the ALS is published monthly as the Technical and Administrative Frequency Lists (TAFL)
Real-time access to the AWS/cellular data of ALS is provided by Spectrum Direct's (SD) Geographical Area Search
I dunno some other dude is hassling him on Twitter too, be he isn't getting a decisive answer from him either...being a CEO and giving an indecisive answer for a company...well that job must just suck...

Ya....Mobilicity customers unite...that's sweet!

For the 30 mins roaming, do they just drop your call if you go over? And are we able to roam within the city now or Mobi still restricts that?
I agree that the 30 min roaming is worth the hassle to switch while paying less. Its only not worth it to switch if you have BIS included in your plan for no extra charge.
