Ok, so my girlfriend and I both have the Optimus V and we both love them. When the screen got damaged on mine (my fault) and I had to get a replacement, I ordered a brand new one from the same company that I purchased our first 2 phones from. When I got my replacement phone I noticed that the screen was tinted yellow and darker when compared to my girlfriend's Optimus and my old Optimus on the same brightness settings. After sending my replacement back and getting a refund I went to Radio Shack and bought an Optimus Slider only to find out that the same type of tint was very apparent on the slider as well. Does anyone know what this is caused by or if there is any way to avoid it when purchasing one? Is it maybe just later versions of these phones that are tinted for some reason? If so, where is the manufacture date located?
UPDATE - After doing some research, I learned about the two different types of screens and that apparently the culprit is the newer Hitachi screen that started production around August 2011. This screen tint is really impossible for me to ignore and I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to get one of the earlier phones with the Novatek screen at. I'm honestly thinking about just trying to get a refurbed phone from Virgin just to see if I can get and older one that way. Please help! Thanks.

hey(:
Well, the only thing I can tell you is to try amazon. Hahaa, I know it's crazy, but they have plenty of used phones. You can try getting a refurbed phone from Virgin (which might work) but my dad got the refurbed intercept from VM, and there were SO many problems with it. Just saying, keep an eye out lol.....
