I was shopping around to replace a phone on one of my two lines. I qualify for the upgrade discount on 6/1 for the line in question. I have two lines with Sprint.
I was at a mall and stopped into a Sprint store that was obviously not corporate. I told the guy right away that I was looking for a dumb phone for the line. I do not need to carry two smart phones. I also mentioned that I am on a limited budget.
Every other word out of the guys mouth was iPhone. I have a lot invested in my Android phone and am not going to duplicate the effort. Also, I want to spend no more than $100.
No matter what I said he kept on about the damned iPhone at the mere upgrade price of $200.
Needless to say I walked out and will deal with a corporate store where I know I have had satisfaction before.
I guess the only question I'd ask here is, what about an iPhone? kidding!
I've only dealt with local Corp stores and both have been outstanding. One store without me asking gave me full upgrade 5 months into my contract (U300 --> Overdrive). The other store where I bought my first Sprint CDMA phone (EVO 4G) again without asking added a 25% discount to my monthly bill.
