unlimited data plans and throttling..are there any codes that specifically exempt it?

like the title says, i have an unlimited data plan for my iphone with att (have since been with them since 2006...) and have been getting consistently throttled and fed bs about it...im tired of it i signed a contract for unlimited data and i am going to ******* well get UNLIMITED UN-EFFING-THROTTLED data. so...that leads me to the question. some people have told me the unlimited int'l iphone data (grandfathered 64.99) isn't throttled. are tehre any specific fans, company/corporate unlimited plans, etc. that aren't being effected by the cap? i'm alright paying more for it, i need to use a lot of bandwidth and if they'll just leave me be ill happily pay 64.99 to enjoy my unlimited the way i used to...
i'm calling the office of the president monday morning, hopefully you all can help me find a SOC code by then to give them to insist they add.
    thank you for your time

    1) There is nothing you can do or a feature that can be added to your account to prevent throttling
    2) You still have unlimited data and connection speeds have never been guaranteed
    3) If you can't get a resolution to your satisfaction, find another carrier

    Have a good evening.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

Actually veriztd is partially right. AT&T doesn't even guarantee that you'll even get any data where you live or work.

Its true, AT&T guarantees you absolutely nothing. If it didn't even work period where you are, you'd still have to pay. True genius in the TOS writers at AT&T. You pay, they don't have to provide you anything except a monthly bill. Its not your fault. It takes a lawyer to decipher what the TOS really means.

Of course, since you've had your phone a while, you can quit AT&T anytime you want and switch.

Only carrier that today offers true "unlimited" service the way it was sold to you originally is Sprint. Too bad you'll also have to shell out for a new iPhone and sign up for a contract to to so.

    1. Get a 4G LTE phone and get 5GB before throttle, then you can also change the APN settings and bypass the throttling altogether.

    2. Go to 5GB data plan and pay overages.

Can you change the APN settings if you have unlimited data?

The Unlimited International is throttled, I was throttled back in october/november down to 1mb speeds down from standard 5mb-ish in Dallas.

Heres what you do....if you can live without the iphone:

    A) buy a T-Mobile branded Samsung Galaxy S2, unlock it.

    B) Give AT&T the IMEI of a dumbphone like the Motorola Tundra, or Samsung Ruby...whatever.

    C) select the medianet plan ($15 by itself, $10 with an unlimited messaging plan)

    d) change the APN of the Samsung s2, and enjoy....

The $10/$15 dumbphone plans (MEdiaNet) are not throttled, for whatever reason, so feel free to gobble as much data as you like

You get HSPA+, fastest the current iphone the OP has..... this has been confirmed in another thread.

You do not get LTE, however.

So what is the APN to use to disable the throttle? Can't even stream spotify on the iPhone when the data is throttled.

You don't get the full HSPA+, it caps you at about 7mbit/s just like ST.

    I haven't seen at&t HSPA+ go faster than 7m/sec anyway.....

Either way , 100% unlimited 7m/sec data for $15/$10 isn't bad, way better than trying to get a $65 international data plan.....just saying
