I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow port my rogers number to telus, but keep my account active with a new number. Anyone have ideas?

Excellent, knowing its possible in the system should allow me to see this one through. thanks
What about voluntairily cancelling your account, but then calling back a day later to re-instate the BAN but assign a different number to it? can they do this? i know theyve done it in the past just curious thats all.
My Feedback
I put the "Ho" back in "HOFO"
You might be able to do this by opening another line with them, then porting the number you want moved. I did this with my two Mobilicity lines. Moved one (back) to Rogers, then another later moved the other to Wind. It'll cost you though.
Policy = no.
System = yes. Many HoFoers (myself included) were able to do this without a hitch and no "back office" stopped it.
If you are able to do it, let us know. I'm curious whether they've in fact installed some sort of monitoring system or something recently since so many people were doing it over the last few months. Ircu, do you know if that's the case? Because if not, it should still be possible.
Put another way, we all know how many of their own "policies" Rogers actually refuses to abide by on a regular basis, such as retaining customers' legitimately offered deals or providing warranty and repair service. With this in mind it is easy to see why it works the other way around too.
Well, considering Rogers TOS says:
"Rogers Parties will not be liable to you or to any third party for: [...] any lost, stolen, damaged or expired Equipment, identifiers, passwords, codes, benefits, discounts, rebates or credits."
They kinda are abiding by their terms every time they welch on a deal or credit - just not necessarily with the law.
