Do the latest HTC phones still offer the compact keyboard option?

A friend of mine wants to upgrade from a Blackberry Pearl flip phone (with the SureType keyboard) to an Android phone and since the Better Keyboard app is no longer available I thought his only option would be to get an HTC phone because the older models that I've used like the Droid Incredible offer a "compact" keyboard similar to the SureType keyboard on the Blackbeery Pearl series. Do the current HTC models still offer the compact keyboard option? Thanks in advance.

Yep. Any HTC phone running Sense has the compact keyboard feature. Its a favorite of mine as well so I always check for it.
