I'd like to know what is involved in taking over some of these grandfathered virgin mobile plans. Some sellers say that all I have to do is log in online and then update my contact info and change the password and that's it! Is this true?
Also what happens if I'm located in Canada but the seller is located in the US? I can still takeover that plan using the steps above?
Taking over someone else's account requires, first, approval from that person to do so and a credit check run on you to start up the account in your name. You'll both have to be on the line to transfer ownership
Also, if the seller is in the US, and therefore has a Virgin Mobile USA phone, you wouldn't be able to take it over in Canada, as we do not have access to USA accounts-- so make sure this is a Canadian phone plan.
